That's the catch, I'm 3 hours from Toronto city hall in the direction of Ottawa, but it is very nice here.Where are you. I would actually love to learn to maintain a bike especially this one. I am in Toronto.

When was this? The only benefit of having collision (which usually includes a clause that omits it from covering a simple upset) is that if somebody else hits you and it is completely their fault, you will be dealing with your insurance company instead of the other guys insurance company.
Personally I have never had collision coverage on any motorcycle, this is speaking from first hand experience, I had to deal with the other guys insurance people when I got rear ended. I was required to report the accident to my insurance people, at which point they did nothing.
Never owned a bike with a loan against it, so near minimal insurance coverage is all I have ever had or needed.
1986 rear ended on my at that time 5 month old bike. When was this?
Aha, makes sense. Around 1989 we switched to no-fault, so you never deal with anyone but your own company now.1986 rear ended on my at that time 5 month old bike.
Have managed to avoid all street accidents since :I ride more aggressively.
... they refused to cover the cost of a rental bike too btw.
What I Should have done in retrospect is to go out and buy a brand new replacement bike and sue for the entire cost.
I could always use a road trip when I put it on the road. I did a weekend trip Ottawa and north bay on A 250That's the catch, I'm 3 hours from Toronto city hall in the direction of Ottawa, but it is very nice here.
