Well I'm also looking for people to ride with! Have a few friends who mtn bike in toronto but really only know one person close to hamilton.

Picked up the kona caldera today. Will post pics later, be looking to go for a ride beginning of the week if anyones game!

I'm always up for a ride and should he available first of the week. Where were you thinking of riding?

Any pointers to some single track in dundas valley area? I want to check out that area tomorrow.

Weather's iffy. It's supposed to pass south. A buddy and I are going to hit Rockcliff if the thunderstorms hold off. If not, there's a selection of Grand River's finest in the garage fridge.

Anywhere vaguely close to hamilton is fine. If i'll trailer to grand bend for a weekend from toronto a 20 minute drive to go mountain biking seems well worth it.

Im a total newb but am up for anything, trails, single track w/e. If newman knows a good spot and wants to plan a meet up id be down. Im sure i'll be slow but i promise to ride way over my head so shouldn't be too bad lol. That being said tomorrow i'm going to go get a helmet, need some form of water whether it be on the frame or a camel back, i'm sure the bike shop will try to sell me other stuff too.

Any suggestions on stuff i need? chain looks lubed and everything, guy i bought it from is actually a toronto bicycle courier so it seems pretty well looked after. Back brake squeaks but meh

Here's his picture of it. I dont need to take a pic of it in my bedroom lol

I am down for a Monday ride. I know Kelso pretty well if you havent been. Been meaning to check out Rockcliff too.

Crashed out pretty good tonight on Digger, but I think I'll be good to ride Monday.

I'm off for 2 weeks. I'll probably end up going to Rockcliff tomorrow or out for a road ride. Both are fun, so I don't really care which.

I gave you the 411 on the shop in the GTA with the best prices on P&A. If you're heading to the west end I'd suggest you stop in there on the way. Camelbacks are 1/2 what you'd pay in most GTA shops, helmets probably 60-70%.

I'm not in the gta anymore, I'm in hamilton. Someone told me there was a big bike shop in burlington thatd have good prices but maybe ill make the drive up there instead

Be careful with Camelbacks, the older ones give water a terrible flavor. It's like drinking plastic. I can't even use it with Gatorade. I haven't gone near one in years, but supposedly they made it better. I have a "Source" bladder. Totally flavor and odor free.

camelback was a little out of my price range right now anyway, and wouldn't put anything but water in one. I'll look into source bladders in the future tho.

Went to bicycle works because milton is more then a little too far for a small purchase. Got a good deal on a helmet in grey camo that no one wanted to buy, figure i'm not the one who has to look at it lol. Some gloves and a water bottle for now. Ready to put the kona and myself to the test!

Newman let us know if you're going to do a ride monday, if not i'll send you a pm daught and im sure we can find somewhere to meet for a ride.

Might want to check out
chainlove.com and steepandcheap.com They are backcountry.com 's clearance method. They have wicked deals backed up by backountry's return policy which is probably best in the market.

okay thats not fair those websites are like crack. Can only see one thing at a time and when its gone its gone? I'm in trouble.

Meetup at Kelso, Monday @ Noon?

Entry is $6.50 and they have been checking lately. It also gets you into Hilton Falls down the road if you wanna hit that up after.

Otherwise we can go to Rockcliffe, it's free. I'd probably wanna meet up with FMJ though because I don't know the network there what so ever. It is technical and rocky.
