Motul Chain Lube

Riders choice, or try Cycle Source on Steeles between Dixie/Bramalea.

Or you could just go to Lowes and buy the Dupont Teflon Multi lube .. best stuff ive tried so far.

Even better than the DuPont Chain Saver. What's great with the Multi-lube is that it doesn't keep too much crap on your chain that will just attract dirt and grit.

I've some unused in my garage you can have. I stopped using it once I got into the Dupont Teflon Multi Lube stuff.
 
Just read webbikeworld's review of this stuff and it sounds good. But apparently DuPont doesn't make it anymore? The new formulation doesn't have the "dry wax" component. Do the vendors you guys mentioned above carry the old or new product?

I read an article on webbike world about the Dupont Multi-Use, apparantly they changed the formula...the old one was a 'dry wax' formula, the new one doesn't work as well (according to them). I don't have a lot of experince with chain lube so I'm not sure...but I went to Lowes and found the 'Teflon Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant' in the little blue 120 ML blottle. It's not a spray bottle, but if this stuff is good I think it's a good size especially for keeping on the bike for a long ride. I will try it this weekend but I'm thinking I need to clean the chain first. Any thoughts?

It's the same stuff, AFAIK. Just easier to carry and harder to apply than spray. I carry the spray (plenty of room in my top case), but if I was using the bottle I would apply it over the lower part of the rear sprocket. I always apply the chain lube by having the engine running in first gear on the center stand. A perfectly safe procedure if you are doing it properly (i.e. keeping your digits, pieces of clothing and any hard tools reasonably away from the chain and sprockets at all times).

Cleaning doesn't hurt if done properly, but is pretty messy and time consuming. Don't wait until you clean the chain to apply the lube. If it's due to be lubed, lube it even if it's dirty. Dupont stuff doesn't attract or seal in dirt, at least not even close to what other chain lubricants do.
