Motorcycling IS NOT a cheap hobby!!!

Its not a cheap hobby YET there is MANY cheap basterds taking it up every day... You know the ones that email you and ask "will you take $15" when i am selling a $100 pair of gloves for $20 on kijiji...

Hobby? Motorcycling, at least to me, is a way of life. If you've got the addiction you have to make it work with whatever you have to work with. All my life I've been into bikes of all kinds. When I was 17 I eventually pieced together a bicycle worth about $2k all together with all the money I made doing chores and odd jobs for anyone and everyone. Growing up we had very little money and I was only ever given one bicycle by my father when I was very young. Everything else I have made work on my own. This includes walking the neighbourhood on garbage day and looking for any scrap parts I could find to fix my ride and hit up the local dirt jumps for a week or two til I broke something else.

I also used to fund my riding as a teen by building bikes from any scrap parts I found and didn't need and would occasionally sell them for $10-20/each. Anyway there's my life story.

I just find it amusing since it's a hobby and not a cheap one at that. I'm not sure what's with all the attitude I'm receiving on this forum. I'm just giving my 2 cents like anyone else. It bothers me that people are THAT cheap. If you want to pinch your pennies, take up knitting.

It's even more expensive if you actually own a motorcycle.

It still costs money to keep this bad boy on the road!

Not really. Look really close, that kid reused his front wheel weights!
