Re: Destination set
If you crossed at Fort Erie and ran a roughly parallel line you would be in much nicer riding areas. The 401 is boring as are most highways through western Ohio. The eastern part of the state and Pennsylvania are far nicer.
Once you are 1/2 hour south of Buffalo you can pick some nice routes. Skyline Drive, BRP, The Tail etc. Food and accommodation ase usually cheap so $1000 is a decent budget for a week or so.
If you and your GF really want to see Nashville then go there by any route, making it the prime objective. Anything added along the way is a bonus.
So, Nashville, TN is the destination we are now thinking of. I figure it's only a two day ride and it's somewhere we both want to go. The plan is to head-out Friday morning and make it to the Kentucky-Ohio border by nightfall. Then into Nashville on Saturday. Spend Sunday and Monday in Nashville, and take-off for home Tuesday morning, arriving back Wednesday by nightfall. I figure this is the route: http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=R...kiDGg2umh0Lk_fQ&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=6&via=1&z=6 what do you all think? Other ideas include Boston.
Hell, I really don't know here to go. Just want some good, relatively safe motorcycling and a cool/fun destination.
