Wow, $20 per wheel carried in! I just paid $60 per wheel carried in at the shop I used in Caledon. Oh well, I'll make note of Mikeymoto for future use.

I definitely recommend Pete's for tires. I ordered a pair of tires from him in late April and they were delivered within two days. Great service and prices.

Yep! Revco is hard to beat these days especially with free shipping, which seems to be always be making petes more expensive when you add the $30 shipping on.

Question about buying tires from Revco - how long dothey normally take to deliver?
I've never ordered from them before and just bought a Road 5. Their estimated delivery is Aug 10, which is almost 3 weeks from now and seems really slow.

The one time I ordered from them, it was very quick. Few days I think.

This might be due to their supply issue.

It must be that they don't have that tire in their warehouse, in my case it was 3-4 days.

Does the embedded tire size selector on the Canadian retailer websites use the exact same back-end supplier or something so they have the same stock? I checked 8+ sites looking at a few budget tires (Dunlop GPR-300, Dunlop Roadsmarts etc) and they all have the exact same two sizes available and everything else sold out across the board.

Supply in general is pretty spotty on other models too, not sure what's going on but a lot of the ones I was checking besides those two are OOS in the ever so common 120/180 sizes.

GP looks like a good option as it is all in one place unless you or your father has the time to get tires and then have them installed somewhere else.

I always take my wheels off the bike myself to get tires mounted, but I have the time and take the opportunity to clean the brake callipers when the wheels are off the bike.

Hi all,

Looking to purchase a set of tires for my dad's bike. He rides a 2016 Harley Sportster 48 and the OEM tires are the Michelin Scorcher 31. He was quoted over $1100 at the dealership and I want to see what are the best options/tire shops to buy motorcycle tires as that seems overpriced.

Front tire size: 130/90B16 73H
Rear tire size: 150/80B16

We're located in the GTA (Scarborough) and I don't want him to get scammed. I am not a rider personally and want to gift him as he says the tires are due for a change from tire wear. I am thinking of Cycleworld and saw some online retailers but not sure about reputation and what shops will install tires without purchasing from them.

Look around for a good price on a set of Shinko 777's. Best bang for the the buck for cruiser tires. Good wear, good in corners and good in the rain. On a smaller cruiser like the Sportster you can't go wrong.

Everybody overlooks Shinko products, but you can't beat them bang for buck (plus they have whitewalls if that floats yer boat).

I put Shinko 705 tires on my X and was very happy with them. Good in corners, dry, and wet performance was great.
