Motorcycle Supershow - International Center - Jan 6-8

I should know, he was out for eats on Tuesday a few times but I'm not ready to bet money on it.

I'm on a 2020 Yamaha Super Tenere 1200. What was the question?

nice bike, just wondering if you’re getting another bike more suited for two up as you stated your girl is excited about the sport?

My mistake I thought it was a 700 when i was following your trip out west. Ride-On

Wearing a Beta hoody and my arm around a cute lady in a red leather jacket?
Not sure but asking for GTAM tickets at the front desk with a lady in white hair. Right around 10:15am.

Oh and this one was interesting…got 2 packs of … Naloxone at one of the booths.

They just want more people to have them in case you need it.

I don’t think anyone I know does opioids … but could come in handy if the need arrises.

Yup. Didn't get them at the show. Don't know anyone using opiods. Have them in all the FA kits and even memorized the warning signs of an OD.

Great show! Bernadette and i had a blast. It was wonderful to see @cutekill.(love this woman) Helmut didn't take me to my knees with a crushing handshake for a change.B loved the stunt show and the freestyle show. Fun people watching over a beer mid way. Bumped into @N3WMAN and the lovely @Amazon on the way out.

I was not able to go this year but plan to go to the Manufacturer's show. Anyone know why the number of local retailers (e.g. GP Bikes) did not attend?

Decisions like this, for retailers, are usually based on economics. Why pay the labour of taking a whole bunch of merchandise there and back, and paying for booth space (not cheap), in order to sell it at reduced prices, compared to just offering an extended New Year's sale at the store (and online)?

It sucks for the clubs and the socalising aspect of it, and for new riders, and for customers wanting to shop around.

No doubt economics played a part, but I wonder if it's a permanent decision, or if they are still monitoring the crowd levels after covid, and will return. (Same re: the manufacturers show, as they used to do that one as well).

My thoughts as well.
Could also be a lack of staffing.
Even in pre-Covid times GP used to hire a bunch of extra staff to work their booth. I almost did it one year but decided $500 cash for 3 full day of my life dealing with the general public wasn’t worth it.

These days aren’t a lot of places short staffed?

Good to see The GTAM booth and it was a nice chat…it’s been a while & thank you for your support of our business!

Enjoy the Olive Oil

Thanks for being my smoke buddy all weekend. Always great chatting with you!

I only saw one sausage vendor. And $8 pretzels where a bakery had a booth also.

Were there GTAM tshirts for sale at the show? I missed out there but if they’re available I wouldn’t mind snapping one or two up.
We didn't have any GTAM Shirts with us. We need to do a new run. Will post up once we have them.

This is my concern regarding future shows. I've bought gear on occasion at the show, but I don't wait specifically for the show to go shopping. If I need/want it during the riding season I go get it.

If GP Bikes for example figures out that they can be more profitable by not going to the show then they will. The cost associated are extraordinary with transportation, set up and staffing the booth, as well as closing the store for the 3 days.

It will be telling to see which shops set up at the February show.
