Motorcycle Supershow - International Center - Jan 6-8

So far, we have 1 winner..... post #14.

Keep talking folks... what did you buy at the LAST motorcycle show that you attended?

It's been a few years since I've attended, I've missed it and now that we're in the new year it's a great opportunity to look at bikes, gear and shop around in general. last show I went to I got a pair of mesh gloves.

In remember the 2003 show pretty well. I had been out of riding for about 20 years, had purchased a bike in December 2002 and needed everything. I did a fair bit of gear research beforehand and hit the floor on opening day. After getting the lay of the land I purchased a helmet, gloves, jacket and pants to set me up for spring.

This year I'll be looking at dry bags, tail bags, highways pegs and a few other accessories as planned rides include Ohio in June, Calabogie in September and somewhere south in the U.S. late September or early october.

My current jacket and pants I bought at a show but that was a long time ago. To be honest the last thing I likely bought at a show was lunch.

What's the secret to a discount online?

In previous years, the $3 discount was only good on certain days/times.

I think Friday and after 5pm on Saturday.

I haven’t looked into tickets this year.

My last purchase was a sweet BELL RS-1 helmet. Love that lid.

Agreed with others that for $25 it is a cheap night out. Sit on a few bikes....people watch some weird looking people (or be looked at depending). Love my K3 Rossi helmet that 613 Motorsport was almost giving away a few years ago.

I bought my A-stars leather jacket at the downtown show, before the pandemic.
Hopefully looking to replace my current helmet this year, and I always want new gloves.

I'll take a pass this year. I disagree that $25 is a cheap night out. I've plenty of other things I can use $25 on rather than walking around a crowded hall for a couple of hours trying to find a deal on riding gear. Not in the market for a bike, so no other reason to attend. Now if I won tickets I would use them.

This year's show is being sponsored by one of our advertising supporters NFP.

Still looking for our last winner....

Lol - the one where the poster indicated he already bought his ticket?
I know right? YAY ME! WOOHOO......

But what would I do with 2 tickets? I don't have any friends! What..... take my wife??? HA!

They're going to give the tickets to someone else.

Seriously I'm grateful for the effort of the moderators and sponsor to provide tickets to the show. It's a nice gesture and pretty uncommon (from my experience) in the online world. So thanks again.

... what did you buy at the LAST motorcycle show that you attended?
My wife bought herself a Ninja 250 with 1200km on the clock from Newmarket Suzuki. I bought a set of RP5s, a visor, and riding pants from Royal, plus an M2 course for one of my kids from Learning Curves.

I would love to attend this show to pick up some new gear (gloves, jacket and pants, maybe even a new helmet if the price is right??)

The used bike area interests me. Being able to speak to the owner directly and skipping the Kijiji/Online messaging/haggling process is a bonus

Perfect way to start off the new year looking at some pretty bikes, chat with fellow 2 wheel enthusiasts/vendors and get excited for the 2023 riding season!

Would love to have an excuse to go. Never been and this is my first winter after riding!

If nothing else would the show be a good opportunity to try on helmets from different manufacturers and find a better fit?

Yes. Shows are the perfect place to do this because you get to try on all different brands/types. Same for Riding boots.

Recommend bringing a skull cap for helmet trying. If you don't already have one you can pick one up at The Ride for Sight booth and help support our charity of choice.

Still got one set of tickets to give away.....

would be a nice change of pace to get my moto fill instead of watching vlogs and reading forums over the weekend. and on the remote chance there'll be an arai quantum in my preferred size and style for sale because i can't find one anywhere else. 😥
