Motorcycle Racing Doomed on TV

...what the hell does that have to do with anything? Bikes have always been tied to fashion and lifestyle. I'm sure what you're talking about though is people riding Honda CB400s because everyone has a hard on for hating on that crowd. Grow up.

You are amazing. How in the world do you know that I am so sure about something for which I have no clue as to what you are talking about.

Isle of Man would bring viewers back to motorcycle racing. Always wondered why North America didn't pounce on the rights or copy it. Most dangerous sport in the world!

The big boys don't want competition.
The have tv advertising on lockdown.
Keep em dumb and round.

Yea but DO YOU KNOW that there is an Ice cream meet on Monday? and Burritos on Tuesday, and L&L on Thursday and Dundas Square on Friday?? DId you?? pfewwwww ;)

Dont forget buffalo wild wing Wednesday in Vaughan hwy 400 and major mac

Have you been under a rock?

Racing in general is doomed. I was at a shop this weekend and a trackday guy didn't know who Jason Disalvo was, even my wife couldn't bieleve it when I told her. Oh BTW, the CSBK national is at Shannonville this weekend!!! Bet %95 of the gtam community didn't know that and most don't even care. Motorcycle racing is in a sad state in North America.

I'm kicking myself in the nuts because I won't be able to go to Shannonville or mosport this year.

How does going to actually watch the CSBK work this weekend at Shannon? Where do you buy tix (online/at the gate etc.?). Can anyone point me in the direction of some info? I've tried looking at both the CSBK and Shannonville websites and didn't really find any info for spectators - just overall prices.

Can anyone that's been/going give me some info/advice? Cheers.

TSN coverage of CSBK was brutal anyway. Irnie did a better job of covering it on his youtube videos.

RadX did an ok job two years ago. Their replays were slow and ill timed but they did a great job covering the race. It's too bad most didn't know about it and it's a specialty channel.

How many ppl on this site know about Shannonville this weekend?

Piss poor advertising, it's not going to get any better in the short term.

The only time I really hear advertising on the radio is for Mosport and it seemed to be a fairly good turn out last year. If they advertised properly then maybe they'd get twice as many people out at Shannonville, 200 instead of 100!!

I couldn't give a crap about SS motorcycle racing either....it's dull as dishwater to watch, round and round and round they go..., I put it up there with watching golf, basketball and the Tour de France (and Nascar and F1). Motocross and Dakkar stuff isn't too bad.

Thats nice.

There's no moral obligation to be clued up about everything to do with motorcycles just becasue you own one. So what if 95% of GTAM community don't know when the nationals are on? There isn't a prize for knowing and there certainly isn't points on your licence if you don't know.
