How do you go about figuring out a fair price to list a selling price for a motorcycle?

If anyone here is up for a 5min chat and guide me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Normally check kijiji amd see what others are asking. That is probably not what they are selling for but it gets you close. Covid pricing has made everything crazy so I dont think there are many useful rules of thumb right now. Mods can make it easier to sell but rarely get you more money. If you have desirable mods, selling them separately gets you more money.

Look at comparable bikes on other selling markets , Kijiji, Facebook, Trader etc. Unless you have a unique one of a kind bike.

Take any add-ons/modifications or expensive accessories into account. Expensive accessories that might add value would be a luggage set, comfort seat, GPS etc.
Things that will not add any value are things like stickers, or color matched foot pegs and bar ends.

Take any accident history into account and subtract accordingly from the selling price.

Kms and condition will also play into.

Long story short, taking at other bikes or the same time and pricing your self between the highest bike and the lowest priced bike on the market will get you yours sold at a fair price.

OR
Price it way too high and work your way down but that will probably mean that you will hold onto the bike for longer than you wanted.

You beat me to it by 1 second, maybe not even. lol

Im guessing a fair selling price would be in the $5k-$5500 range for a clean low mileage model.

several clean low mike bikes listed on Kijiji near $6k, not moving at that price.

Nice bike. I’ve seen those listed between 5-6k so I’d start there. $5500 as someone else mentioned may be a good start.

It’s COVID pricing so maybe start at 6k.

EDIT: just took a quick look. I’d ask anywhere between 6000-6500 compared to a couple of 2014 shown that run up to 7k.

how many kijidiots do you want to deal with?

This, sadly.

Last bunch of times I've sold a vehicle on Kijiji/FB Marketplace I go with the following routine now, and it's worked great.

- If you couldn't be bothered to read the ad and ask me a question that's VERY clearly laid out in the text of the ad, I'm going to kinda-sorta politely tell you to please go re-read the ad as their question is answered already, as well as having all sorts of extremely detailed additional information. I'm not going to spoon feed anyone anymore. If you come back AGAIN and ask another question that is also answered in the text of the ad I'm just going to ignore you at that point as it's clear you're just window shopping and are almost certainly going to just waste my time.

- If you're going to send me an insane lowball offer I'm just going to ignore you. It's not worth the keystrokes to reply. Eff off.

- No, I will not hold the car/bike until tomorrow, Friday, Next Tuesday, next weekend, the third Christmas of the next decade, or any other day of the year. Chances are the person will fall off the face of the planet after you agree to it after they find a better deal / can't come up with the money / some other shiny bauble catches their eye....and meanwhile I passed up other buyers while you screwed me like that.

- First come, first served. See "no holds" above.

Anyone genuinely serious will make time in their day to come show up in person in short order. These are the people you want. I ignore the rest.

If they call they're serious. Too bad more people don't put their ph number.

But remember the kijidiot thing works both ways. I see the bike I want on FB. I send two replys (1 "send ph number I have questions" 2 "when can I come to view it ") which he reads but does not answer. Then I send a PM. He doesn't read it but the price gets jacked 600$. Seriously WTF?
