Let's have some fun folks!

Introducing the Open-Concept Motorcycle Photo Hunt!

In this game, the challenge is to find a target set by the previous poster, and take a picture of it with your motorcycle in the shot.

Very similar to the GTAM Photo Tag, except that in this one, rather than having to "tag" a previous specific location first, you'll only need to find something suggested by the previous player to tag *in* your shot; you then must set a target for the next player.

Examples: Your bike by a cop car, or your bike next to a fountain, etc.

The rules:
  • This is an open-concept hunt; therefore you must suggest a type of target reasonably achievable by players in any area, even outside the GTA. So while something like "Your bike by the CN Tower" is too location-specific and would not be acceptable, "Your bike by a tower" or "Your bike by a national monument" would be accepted as such items can be found in most locales.
  • Your bike must be at least partially visible in the shot. Removing plate#'s from the photo is recommended but not required.
  • No PhotoShops! (Other than editing to crop or enhance brightness/contrast to make low-light photos more visible.)
  • Your target suggestion cannot require breaking any laws or putting the rider at risk of injury; i.e. nothing like "Your bike on a beam 100' high at a construction site" :p
  • The photo must be a new shot and not taken from your existing library; the point of this game is to get people out riding and hunting for these items!
  • Write a brief description of your shot; let us know where you were!
  • Once you've posted your tag, you must set the next target in that post.

So to get the game started, here's my tag -- I was looking for a body of water:

My Target: My V-Strom across from the Toronto Island Airport, next to the Yacht Club at the bottom of Stadium Rd.

NEXT TARGET: Your bike near a popular, ma & pop type food spot -- but NOT a major chain!

Happy hunting!

Oh yeah - I'm in!
PM sent BTW - thanks for thinking up this great idea - I hope it flies.

This is Com Pho Asia 2 - a family run place that is always busy - good food - good variety - and not very expensive. If you are in Barrie or passing through it is worth a try. 221 Cundles Rd E., Barrie.

Next target:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a full-sized aeroplane - working, static display, monument, scrap - as long as it is or was a real aircraft...

It's easy when you're around them everyday! A sunwing Boeing 737 doing engine run ups on the threshold of runway 33L at Pearson. I missed an amazing shot as the aircraft just finished the run and was taxiing right next to the work parking lot.

In the spirit of summer, your mission is to take a picture of your bike with a beach in the shot.

Wow, 11 days since the last tag, and all those beachy areas around the GTA! Slackin' people, slackin'! lol.

So since I was out here anyway, here's a beach on Lakeshore Rd at Mill St, out by Port Hope Ontario:

Great area out here if none of you have been. But watch for sand and gravel along Lakeshore!

Next Target: Your bike in or within near range of a cemetary. The creepier the better!

It wasn't creepy at noon on a summery day, so I took the liberty of dressing it up for the show:

This cemetery is very large for teh size of our community - it has roads throughout to make it easy to visit.

History
Opened in 1879, Barrie Union is a private
non-denominational cemetery incorporated under the laws of Ontario Canada in
October 1877. A not-for-profit company, it is dedicated to providing a public
cemetery for the people of Barrie and surrounding area.
Grounds
Thirty acres of fenced,
wooded, and grassy landscape within the heart of Barrie Ontario, a resident
superintendent along with grounds-keeping staff maintain the cemetery
landscape.

Next Target: Your motorcyle with a ferry or tour boat in the picture. Bonus point if your bike is on the ferry.

Great idea! Spread the word!

I think I'll join soon.

I MIGHT be able to get a pic of my bike with one of the boats we use to propel the rafts to carry our equipment over water... It's a ferry of sorts, just to keep the game moving... Will it qualify?

^^ do it.. would love to see the pic... then let the Commish decide if it's a 'foul ball' or not. :)

Been on the Serendipity Princess? Did it a couple times when I was at Georgian. Unreal houses on the bay up there.

I haven't done any of the boat tours in this area, but I've seen those houses from the road: decadent!

2 hours to target change. I work across the street from this one. Shouldn't be a problem to hit on my way to work.

Okay it's sideways but it's there! lol. Took this at the waterfront (Beside a good burger joint Alexandros) on my way to my usual parking spot by the Queens Quay LCBO.

Your target should you choose to find it: A trustworthy place to get accessories for your bike.

I picked GP Bikes for this tag in Whitby.

Next assignment: get a photo of your bike with Elmo.

I hope this will fly with the OP, rules don't say it has to be a landmark. Get creative! :)
