Helps a lot to select neutral while still moving, just before you stop. Personally, I leave it in gear at red lights unless I need my left hand to adjust something. If you've already stopped and can't find neutral, let the clutch bite a bit and it usually clicks right in...

yea, I realized that tip. goes in easy when rolling but I like to wait til the car behind me is stopped before going into neutral at longer lights.
Thanks for the clutch bite tip, will try that.
