Motorcycle maintenance after rain?

What are some regular maintenance you guys do to your bikes after its been in rain?

Im looking to wash my bike later today, anything I should do to the bike after washing?

(new rider here, don't hate)

I sell it and get a new one if it gets wet. Bearings will fall apart, wiring will short out, frame will rust. Sell it fast before it starts happening. Usually only takes a few days

+1... Last time I rode in the rain my bike started smoking, left it to cool off and when I went to go start it I heard a loud bang. :(
Had to part it out, whatever was salvageable anyways.

You really need to read 'The Complete Idiots Guide to Motorcycling' or something similar; I'm serious.

It will save you a lot of silly questions on the interweb.

I've tried to answer some of your questions but seriously....

STFF!!!! If you don't know what that means I suggest you search the fu*king forum for the answer.

Stop making new threads every time you have a question you think is 'new' and 'unique'.

Spend the next 2 weeks reading every sticky on here in every sub forum. I guarantee it will answer 99 of the 100 questions you still have in your head.

More reading, less posting.

Can't seem to find it on the forum

Oh man, I guess I got lucky then I did notice there was some sort of noise after the rain, it was like as if water was dripping off the bike on the floor and the seat was really wet. I think I need a new seat.

Lube your chain more frequently if you ride in the rain. It doesn't mean every time it rains, just shorter intervals.

Okay, I guess i'll go lube it later today

Okay, sounds good, I guess I should also drop the price since its been water damaged right?

We get that you are young, inexperienced, but holy crap you've created like 20 threads this month, the forum isn't all about you or any one person trying to monopolize it. Do some searching on the internet, maybe find a search engine on google.

Google "motorcycle maintenance after rain".

Yea, the forum is all about me !!

If I wanted GSXR parts, I would just follow one to the forks of credit

Let him ask questions. You may have heard the question 100 times but he has only asked it once.

No one complains about Corsana's random trackday threads. He's basically TAFB's replacement trackday thread creator. But let them ask away. That's what this forum is for.

Yes and no.

Asking about proper suspension setup and how to approach it, are one thing.

Asking what to do when some water gets on your bike? That's overkill if you ask me.

I get urinary tract infection when I ride too long. I might have piss off the motorcycle gods (pun intended) :(

Sent from my tablet using my paws

Only reason why I joined a motorcycle forum is to ask question related to motorcycles and get advice from riders that know about motorcycles who ride frequently.

Much better than some random person on the internet whom I have no trust in, I'd rather be heckled and get my information. Even though its hard to believe I do search the internet for my answers but when I can't really find a definitive answer theres over a hundred of local riders that could help me, why not ask. I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering these things and people probably see my threads and get information from them as well.

Maybe you should just skip the next thread I make if you're so irritated by it, no one forced you to read.

First bike and I'm 17, I'd like it to last a while. So any way I can help maintain it even to last an extra day on the road, I'll try my best to.
