motorcycle lift at princess auto

I just bought a used compact lift $300. i think it is made by kendon 1000lbs hydraulics only. It has adjustable length. I can store it easily.
-only a little ram height and i feel my bike weight doubles . Need more practice on loading the bike.
-need to make a floor stopper since it roll forward when i try to get it into wheel choke.

Pretty happy with it so far
Were you in a rush to get a lift?
Just curious, because the wider ones are so much better for being able to keep your tools and parts you remove right on the bench as you work.

No rush. I have tool cart already and platform wider is not important to me. Small and portable are because I don't want to turn my garage into a permanent workshop. Need something I can remove in the winter.

So tempting. I will stop by princess auto and get one to try

Keep an eye on the Harbor Freight flyer/website too...
Their 1000lb lift goes on sale every so often.
'Something like $285 USD.
I bought one a couple of years ago at the Niagara Falls NY store and even with the exchange rate on the dollar it was a steal.
CBSA guy must have been a fellow rider... Didnt send me in to pay the tax

Went into PA this afternoon looking for something else and saw the 1,000 lb lift with a $499 sign on it.Hmmmm? The sign said price was good till Oct 13th.Lady says "oops, that shouldn't be there, but you can have it at that price". Sold!
Why don't the 1,000lb lifts have tie down points? Easy enough to drill 4 holes.

The 800lb blue model is discontinued.

The one on display in Markham PA has 4 Ubolts installed for tiedowns.

How's the included front chock holding up? It didn't look very heavy duty, so I didn't even install it and used my Baxley instead.

I have one of the PA Baxley knockoff ones. It isn't as good as that, but it seems just fine for what it does. Nothing will ever go yup there without tiedowns anyway. Except maybe the Ossa.
