Motorcycle keys cut!! Lock Clinic Inc. 137 Vaughan Rd. (Bathurst & St. Clair)

Also what about luggage keys? I have a givi top box that i bought awhile ago but the damn thing only has 1 key!

Thanks.

If he can't cut a new key for your Givi luggage, you can order new keys and or cylinders online at http://www.givi.ca/en/replace.php. Just pick your luggage style and then look for the replacement keys down near the bottom.

I broke off a key in the lock of my top case and had to order a replacement last year. The new cylinder comes with two keys and costs about $20 plus shipping and tax. Keys are about $7 plus shipping and tax.

And Kamikaze, if you like Jamaican food you must try Albert's Real Jamaican at the corner at St. Clair. He has been there for a very long time and the food is fantastic.

I am another satisfied customer. Bought bike without the keys that lock the steering, tank, seat. To get the key code I had to take off triple clamp but it worked ! He had a blank and cut 2 keys for $20 ... I just live around the corner so very convenient

Anyone know where I can get STP SMO-18 oil filter ? FRAM are no good

took the advice of most ppl on this forum and had the worst experience in my life
Arnold is a rly arrogant person
not only that he broke the lock on my bike and never got a working key for me
he also handed me a a bill close to $50 for his services :angry8:
when i asked if he will fix my lock he refused and laughed at me then pointed to the door
you would think after so many years in the business you would learn to deal with customers in a proper manner
and fix what you broke
so now im stuck with a broken lock and no key
and GP bikes wants $1700 for the lock set FML
will post pictures of my lock soon !
ohh and forgot to add i gave him a Ducati chip key to cut for me that cost $100
and that was ruined also

If it was a chip key, how would you have programmed it anyway? And how exactly did he break your lock??

he cut the key bad and not its useless
ill post pictures of the lock when i have a chance
That answers neither of my questions, lol.

programing has nothing to do with it
my immo was already programed to the key
its the bad cut that was done by this shop that ruined my key

Ahhh. I thought only a shop could program the key, and figured they woulda just cut it at the same time. Great to know you can program them yourself.

I'm looking into this, as I worked on it as well.
The gas tank key was cut by code, and worked.
The tail/trunk key, which I guess is the chip key, worked in the lock.
The two keys would not swap, meaning the tail key did not fit the tank, and vice versa.
The numbers on the back were different, which I would believe are the code numbers.
Then I hear you came in with 3 ignitions, and the tank key did not fit in any of them.

We tried our best with what we had.
Apparently all 3 locks should have been the same, from what I was told, but obviously were not.

Got me thinking this morning, is this bike stolen or a recovery?

Will speak to my father, Arnold, next week to see what did happen.

Which lock is broken?
Both the tank and tail lock worked.
Did not see the 3 ignitions.

We spent sometime on this, and tried to work it out.
Wish I could of had a look at it, before you flipped out.

If you get a 2006+ R6 we can cut ya a key for your immobilizer, but not for 2005 :(

If you swap your wiring harness for USA 2005 R6 harness or purchase a "immobilizer bypass" then we can cut ya a key. Take note that immobilizer bypass devices make your bike VERY unreliable.

Hello Arnold

I have a 1985 Yamaha FZ750, no key, to get one made can I just bring in the ignition or is there a code I can get off of it and tell you that ? It's a bit of a hike from Mississauga to your place, wondering if we can do this either by phone or email, and you can mail the key to me.

If there is an alternative to this or something closer someone knows about, please post

Thanks

.

I'd love to get a newer 6, just really not in the budget for the next year or two. I don't think I'll change out the harness just to get a different colored key, sometimes its a shame that the '05 had to be the bastard child of the 6 line up!

There is no code. If you bring him your physical ignition he can make a key for it assuming he has the correct blank for your ignition/bike.

You can also get a brand new ignition with two keys for $40 ish: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/YAMAHA-FZ750...Parts_Accessories&hash=item53f3646d8b&vxp=mtr

Thanks.....

I thought about a new ignition/key as you pointed out, however it still leaves me needing a key for the gas cap and seat lock

Best thing is to remove the ignition and bring it to him to get it done....

Usually the gas cap and seat lock are just a generic lock, even a blank will open it. Worst case if you can get the tank cap open, just take out the tumblers and same deal with the seat lock, and the new keys will work perfect.

Still would be sweet if Arnold has a blank and can make it right from your ignition cylinder :) Take it to him and see what he can do.
