There are lots. Can the questions be asked in public? That may help the next person.

Well, I'm in a huge dilemma here due to this whole covid thing, had my lessons booked with rti for April 10, just to find out I have been rescheduled until late July. I was wondering if there is an another alternative to get my m2, I have been trying since last year to obtain but it's just another obstacle each time. I have my bike but insurance companies won't insure without m2.

The only options I see are:

1) Find another school that has a slot open before July
2) Contact the various schools (try RTI first) and try to book a one-on-one lesson. It's more expensive, but might get you in earlier than a group lesson
3) Book the M1 Exit test at the MTO directly. That's if they are even have testing slots open before July. You will need your own motorcycle for this test. And you'll need to pick up the skills by yourself to pass the test. Not the best solution, IMO.

Good luck.

Have contacted various schools and all are booked up, I would be interested in the one on one training as I have no paying extra to obtain my license. I will try to contact rti tomorrow and see if they can do that for me. But in the mean time if there are other options I would love to hear them. Thanks!

Try to find insurance comp that insured M1.

If RTI can't accommodate you, try Learning Curves, I believe they also do one-on-ones.

Hi Hi! LC's earliest for new bookings I believe is in August. You can call the office and get your name on a list, no deposit required.
Some Insurance companies may insure you with proof of a course booked in the near future.

You could borrow a friends insured motorcycle and do the m1 exit at the Drive Test i believe. This would obviously only be a good idea if you already know how to operate one.

See that's also an issue as drive test locations aren't offering any m1 exit test at the moment. M1 insurance quote I got was ridiculous about $9000 for the year. If I do book with rti or lc for one on one lesson would they be able to help obtain my license?

To my knowledge we (LC) doesn't offer one on one lessons, or at least one with an m1 exam at the end. @GoldieTiger would know best, she's been at this far longer then myself.

Sounds like at this point you may have to wait for July. Now LC has many, many locations. So if you`re willing to travel (i assume you`re GTA) outside of the area you could possibly find a booking earlier.

COVID has thrown a monkey wrench into everyone's operations. Calling their office first thing tomorrow morning will get you the correct answer.

I feel you. I started the process for getting my license last year in February, before the **** hit the fan. Finally started the lessons in July and passed the test in August.

Hope you find a solution.

Learning Curves offers one on one lessons.
If you want to have your M2 testing at the end of the lessons, you will need to have them done with a "Senior" instructor whom is authorized by the MTO to administer the test.

Most of LC lots are only available for specific hours as per rental agreements, which may make the testing much harder to schedule.
Best option would be to contact a school directly and see if they offer this solution.

Outdoor gatherings are currently limited to 5 people which is going to make it difficult for schools to run M1X courses.
Two people from different families/bubbles aren't supposed to be in the same vehicle, which will make it difficult for M2X courses/evaluations.
