motogymkhana riders

I will try and come check it out on the 25th. Have always considered learning those type of skills, just to be a better rider.

Same goes for parking lot practice...keep telling myself I'll go do it...but never do. I'll measure out my driveway maybe I can learn there instead and close to home.

It seems my signature is different when posting through my phone. It promotes Tapatalk instead of Moto Gymkhana . Thank you @shanekingsley for covering for me.

@mimico_polak, it would be fantastic to have you there. If you attend on June 25, I'm sure you'll leave with plenty of drills you can use again and again. Also, if doing "parking lot practice" sounds a bit boring, just "warm up" for your ride for 1 to 5 minutes at the nearest school or something before you hit the highway/twisties. It might turn into an hour before you can notice!

do you do GP8s? what are your times

I just looked up GP8s. First I've ever heard of this! I'm gonna try this tomorrow.

What are your times? Will post up my embarrassing lap times.

Or not...
You could race yourself. Run the course with the entire fleet and see how the times compare (dirt bike will probably get its ass kicked due to knobbies).

most important thing is you got out there and gave it a shot!! happy to set up some drills/courses if you want some practice. i'm located in richmond hill
Hes only gta in spirit these days. It would take most of a week for him to ride to Richmond hill.

Thanks, appreciate the offer!

I only had time to do three runs, but I did get down to 42 secs by the 3rd run. Its apparent that corner speed is the key. I was trying to turn too tight, but was able to knock a chunk of time off by going a bit wider and keeping the speed up.

yes, post the day and dates next time you thinking about doing it. Definitely interested!

Two of us heading to Cambridge on June 25th event, after we will know the drills and we have cones already so I will organize something to practice for the locals on the North side. In the meantime think about parking lot/place (Stouffville/Aurora/Newmarket no further) where we can practice, I have one in mind but it would be nice to have options. Stay tuned.
