I've been watching a lot of motogp lately and there's a couple of things I'd like to know.

Tear offs - I was surprised they used them. Wouldn't discarded tear offs be a traction hazard when you're cornering at such speeds and angles?

Backmarkers - If you've been lapped do you have to complete the missing lap(s) after someone wins? Could be dangerous I would think with the winners doing victory laps, burn outs etc.

Just watched Assen 2015 again last night where Marquez forces Rossi into the gravel. Silly Marc, you don't mess with the Docter.

Yes, but typically it's very difficult to tear off while you're in a corner, so they don't end up collecting there.

You'll most likely tear off on the straightaway, so there's less chance of going down if you run over one there.

I think I remember an SBK race (or maybe it was a Q session) where some guy went down on a tear-off in a corner. He said the front folded like it hit an ice patch.

So yeah, it could happen.

If you liked that, you should watch Rossi vs Stoner, Laguna Seca 2008.

Checkered flag is the finish of the race. No more racing after you cross the checkered-flag line. If you've been lapped, you finished fewer laps. That's the same throughout roadracing.

Ya'll watch it online? Do you get to see the braking, lean angles meters etc?

Yes Sir. You Tube on the smart TV. The later stuff is great with clear images, great graphics and all the trimmings. Older races with the likes of Steady Eddie Lawson, Rainey and Schwantz looks very dated. Poorer quality images few graphics and no on board cameras but still great racing.

I now log each race in a notebook to make sure I don't the same race twice. 30 races and counting. Making the best of my Covication.

Is that the one where Stoner is interviewed after saying that Rossi's passes were some of the most aggressive he's ever seen.
