I was lucky enough to be there and I took tons of photos.
Very basic equipment, Sony A55 and "big beercan" Minolta AF 75-300 F4.5-5.6 lens.
All taken from hand and pretty far from the track, still there are some amazing photos...

There is about 150 photos here:

Edit:
Actually facebook does photos better...

I hope this does not get trashed to multimedia as my last few threads.
That is also the reason why I am including only two thumbs in this post.

Cheers!

wow - some amazing action pictures.

You take better pictures than most professional cameramen

Nice job

Fantastic photos IMO!! Thanks for sharing :)

Have you ever been to a GP race before?

I would love to see a European round at least once in my life. I've been to Indy but heard how crazy it is in Europe.

Thanks!

This was my first GP. I had some practice taking photos at soar events and track days.

Pros have massive lenses that probably cost more than my bike and sit on the inside of access roads. Considering my lens was 80$ and closest I could get was about 50 meters I'm more than happy.

As for the event, atmosphere was great. Flags, banners, smoke bombs, horns, bikes, everything you can imagine and more.
Beer was 2$ :-)

That Sunday was supposed to rain and just as last race was done few drops started coming down. It was not hot and timing as perfect. Really great day....

Thanks for looking :-)
