MotoGP 2018

Thanks, JC!

For anyone interested, the $1 Black Friday Dorna package is up for sale:

I already got it and I'm seeing issues with loading times and such, but... I want to see the classic races this year. If anyone can get it and try to rip the entire classic series and upload that to G-drive or a torrent that's be an awesome side project for the Winter!

Yeah, I did.

Dorna does selective payments/packages based on region--it uses algos to determine how much to charge via location IP address, device/OS among other possibe analytics from what I've gathered. They optimized it such that they can extract as much as they can from its viewership, W. Europe dominates it unsurprisingly, which is why they can get away charging so much; its on a sliding scale from that, you'd think Canada, like the US, would be on the same price bracket due to low viewership and interest in MotoGP in contrast to its bigger Markets--we're an emerging/forgotten Market in that regard.

Do you know how to use a VPN? That's what I'd suggest. If not... I have other ideas and suggestions, so drop me a line via PM.

Personally, this is just one of many reasons I detest Dorna, and still feel sickened I have to pay even $1 to them; they are seriously the Google of Motorsports, even the fossils at the FIA and Bernie had to wise the **** up as they were losing viewership and sponsor money due to their never ending BS.

If BT sports ran a similar package, I'd shell out for it, and DAZN could be a decent alternative. But if I'm honest JC just beats them all and I seldom watch live anymore...

Edit: Try that link after clearing cookies and not logged into your old account, apparently other People are reporting the same thing as you are if they logged into their account and didn't clear cookies. I just saw DORNA is up to thier old tricks and you cannot removed auto-renew, so use a temp account for the funds if possible. These guys are no better than the sleazy payment processors for the internet porn Industry of the early 2000s, its ******* pathetic.

thanks brother
took a bit of fiddling
with VPN in Greece I was able to get the Black Friday deal

I actually have a DAZN account - for NFL games
with the VPN in Spain I can see the motoGP content
but trying to play anything I get an error
that will also take some fiddling - but may end up being a good solution for next season

can't see myself forking out to Dorna for the whole '20 season
the service and quality of the production is awful

Hmmm, super freaky! It's uploading now, lol. Looks like my computer blue screened right after encoding day 2 so it never got a chance to upload and I forgot to check on it. Bad cache in my CPU :( Guess time to build me a Ryzen!

Hey John, are you gonna upload anything from the sepang test?
All the news from the past few day got me excited for this year!

Thanx

Dorna shouldn't get any money, so please support JC.

I bought the pass again for $1 for the off season, and searching for the old races or even new content (they said their would be after the flag sessions for Sepang Test, but all we get is a 2 min highlight reel). Thier site is a total nightmare, I think we may see another server crash like last year as they don't seem to have done much to improve the UX if I'm honest.

You know what's even odder, I just found out that Carmelo/Dorna actually bought the rights from Bernie Eccelstone, who is a total twat from F1 and FOG, in the 90s; but he's a twat that had to finally sale his broadcasting rights because he realized he knew nothing about how the sport developed in the 21st century.

Ducati at it again

the hole shot device has it's role expanded
as well as locking the rear for a solid start
the system now is being tested as a dynamic suspension adjuster
rumour has it they are testing it on corner exit to keep the rear down

lower centre of gravity and improved aeros under hard acceleration
Miller and his bike have been spotted testing it

The interview with Dovi and Petrucci on www.motogp.com was hilarious when they tried to get answers out of them. Dovi just turned his head and walked away. Petrucci said "I don't know. I don't remember" :ROFLMAO:

But Miller's busted. He admitted that they've been using it since sometime last year.

I wonder how it works. Electrical/electronic adjustment is verboten, so it has to be mechanical or hydraulic. Someone figured out that the handlebar buttons are a mountain-bike fork lock device. I suspect that they took the (mechanical) cable from that device and routed it into the shock so that when activated, it adds extreme rebound damping or perhaps even blocks rebound damping completely. If that's the case then Ohlins is in on it, too - unless Ducati have made their own replacement rebound damping cartridge. I'm on a MotoGP tech facebook group ... only a matter of time until someone snaps a pic of the shock.

FYI, There is a new thread for this year...

Looks like we're getting spammed hard, any chance JC can get that mod position he always wanted?

Anyhow, since this the only place we can still post links here is Dovi's 'Undaunted' documentary from RedBull:

Moto2/Moto3 Qatar - Free Practice Two (FP2) is now live streaming in 720p ONLY!

I was not able to capture FP1 and the pre-event stuff but will get it all uploaded tonight.

No MotoGP riders this weekend.

As always, enjoy!
Thanx John! We'll take what we can, ...but hey, new graphics and music! Yay!
