MotoGP 2015

MM always has problems following other riders. He ran into Dani last year, Rossi this year and now almost Lorenzo. He needs to learn patience. I still think the open class has an advantage with the softer tire during qualifying. What you guys think of the likes of Suzuki and Ducati using the soft tire just to get p1.

Patience isn't going to win races or championships, especially when grasping at straws in order to claw back to the lead. Yeah, crashing definitely wont win races, but he's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Float around 3rd place to soften the blow, or go down putting up a fight? Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

His motto may as well be "Win it or Bin it".

A lot of Rossi fans especially aren't too keen on this rule, and moreso lately because he's had to work his way up on the field, and by the time he gets to the front it's too late to catch Lorenzo.

That's too bad for Rossi and his fans, but winning a race within the current format is about having the total package, not just being a Sunday racer. It does make it exciting for the audience though, watching him work through the field.

I totally agree.

Lorenzo doesn't seem to have any issues being on the front row despite the soft tires from Ducati and Suzuki.

And take out others while doing so.

He nearly took out Rossi in Argentina, Pedrosa in Mugello, and Lorenzo the last race. It's only a matter of time until he takes someone out.

Don't forget about how he DID take out Bautista.

And The Pedrosa traction control wire incident last year...

It wasn't intentional but he went in to hot again but he clipped his rear and the wire got cut. Pedrosa was doing good that season too.

Okay, let me take my foot out of my mouth. I meant to speak more towards Marquez's position in the current championship, before the start of the race.

He was already trying to make up a large deficit in points. Finishing anywhere behind any of the factory Yamaha or Ducati would mean that gap only extends. Finishing anywhere form third to fifth would have put him in just about the same position as crashing out did, although not as severe. He needed the win to close the gap (or at the very least to finish ahead of Vale/Jorge), anything less puts him further away.

Perhaps patience would help. However, it would mean counting on his rivals to make mistakes which he can capitalize on later in the championship. Relying on other people to screw up in order to succeed is an underwhelming prospect for him, it seems.

Lol Bautista. Not like he hasn't crashed into half of the active riders at some point.

Haha, nobody is saying that he hasn't. He was just the first MM victim of the year I think.

Well said. It's too late for patience in MM's case now... things should be even more interesting and exciting this way, though. I hope that he does his idol a favour or two in winning the championship... via scrapping hard with Jorge.

Biaggi is on the top during FP1. It will be interesting to see where he is compare to the top riders.
Love his bike livery, that "Alitalia" color suits him well.
