Motogp 2013

Funny part is he's not even in the premier league. He's running the Dunlop series which is their development cars. Only 6 races throughout the season, and they're all short.

He's recently complained on twitter, now removed, about his dislike in the series.
A few retired GP riders have recently shared their opinions that it is very likely Stoner attempts a comeback to GP. He's still young and the talent will surely still be there. I think Pedrosa's spot will become vacant soon if he doesn't win more, although last year he was very strong in the second half of the season.
There's also Suzuki in 2015.

Rumour has it that BMW might be making a run at MotoGP as well...

This sport is a little hectic to keep up with sometimes with all the rumors. I feel like I'm back in high school again haha.

Rumors I have heard/read that I can think of off the top of my head right now:
- Stoner comeback.
- Hayden to WSBK. (we'll find out soon enough I suppose, Cal's official announcement is tomorrow)
- Pedrosa out if he doesn't win, make room for Marc's brother from Moto2. (not sure when Pedro's contract is up)
- Ducati leaving MotoGP if they can't become more competitive in the next couple years.

Beat me to the post Jeero ;)

I'm not sure how I feel about this move by Cal, yes he wants a Full Factory bike and I'm sure the pay that goes with it. Maybe his riding style may suit the Duc?

As for the other rumours, that's how it goes during summer break, and usually at Indy everything is fully announced for the next season.

The best rumours would be more manufactures on the grid, hope the BMW on is true and can't wait for Suzuki to come back.

The good thing is Suzuki is confirmed and they showed us pictures of their bike.

The BMW idea would still be a couple years from the time they announce it, unless they're being hush-hush about it.

I'm going to the Indy GP. It'll be nice to see the action in person after nearly a month without racing!

Crutchlow to Ducati for 2014 and 2015.

If Ducati doesn't redesign the bike properly in the off-season with Audi's budget, it'll be the end of Cal's GP career. At least he'll get factory salary for 2 years and I hope he would be smart to stash it away.

If Ducati finds the source of their problem and fix it for 2014, it's going to be epic for Cal if he can regularly be amongst the aliens with the red machine. That would be good news for Dovi as well. His talent is not being spotlighted properly on the Duc.

Yeah, I think that Ducati will get the bike competitive next year, but I think podiums will be few and far between. I also think that he will be usually beat by Dovi, as he was on the Tech3 bikes - Dovi has a year's experience on the Ducati, and he seems to be doing pretty well on it so far (for a Ducati).

I'm doubtful Stoner would make a comeback either. He would be allowed to if he wanted, but I personally don't care. He is/was talented, but he was part of the boring trio of riders (Pedrosa-Lorenzo-Stoner) at the top, which I don't think we need more of. We need more Marquez and Rossi characters that want to make moves and provide some entertainment.

News wasnt to much of a shocker, cal wanted a pay day. Think he will be in for a repeat of last year with Dovi beating him on a regular basis. I think i am most interested seeing what happens with Aleix, kind of surprised no one has gone after him. Be interesting to see how that bike goes when aprilia comes out with the new engine.

Dovi hardly beat Crutchlow on a regular basis. Pretty evenly matched, mid season Crutchlow suffered a broken ankle.

Dovi got 6 podiums compared to Cals 2, and it was Dovi's first year on the M1.

I just recall some of the good battles between Cal and Dovi when they were teammates at Tech3. That could make Ducati a fun team to watch next season.

Crutchlow out qualified him 14-4, Dovi 8-5 in race results.

Too many DNF's at the end of the season hurt Cal's final points tally.

Very similar pace ran by both riders, as i said earlier pretty evenly matched.

Qualifying doesn't mean much if you can't finish the race.

The announcements confirmed today, Cal to Ducati for 2 years, and Pol in Yamaha Tech 3.
Now waiting on news regarding Redding, he is confirmed for a move up to MotoGP but no team announced yet.

Side note: who's heading to Indy in a couple weeks?

I speculate Redding will end up on the production Gresini Honda.

I've been a Dani fan for a long time now. I hope he can do it and over come this injury. Remember hes only like 115-120 pounds. If honda doesn't keep him maybe he will go to Suzuki. lol

Buddy and I put a reserve on Uhaul 5'x9' trailer to bring our bikes down to Indi. Leaving on 15th and camping at the track.

So what was the pay raise for Cal? I'm really sorry to hear this, he was just starting to be able to compete at the front, if he could figure out how to be at pace for the first 5 laps he had potential for a lot more wins on the tech3. Going from last years M1 to a current model Duc is a huge downgrade. Stoner is the only person who's ever been able to ride one fast and he did it by riding it over the limit. Cal wont be able to match that. Hope his bank account is getting nicely padded!
