Most Scenic Riding Spots

Gllies

Yeah and while I certainly did not have the machine to ride it that hard.....all of the range roads in general I was glad to see the 3 km to end of curves sign ( yes they actually have that ) - even GF who has lived there all her life is glad to see that sign.

The Gillies is the curviest of all, the Rex the steepest followed by the Kuranda which is busy and treacherous
The Palmerston is long sweepers and really an easy ride - the others can get you in trouble in a heartbeat - some of the 180 turns just seem endless......and then comes another.

I must admit getting out on Ontario roads was a bit of a sleepy change. Next year tho - more fun in Aus. :D

I lived in Vancouver for 3 years which is basically in the middle of motorcycle paradise. We rode year round in BC and down into Washington State. You can't get up in the mountain passes in the winter obviously but there's plenty of twisty roads in the valleys. Any area in that region of the world has incredible riding and vistas. Thank god for digital cameras as it would cost tens of thousands of dollars to develop the pictures I took had they been shot on film. Evening rides many times were Vancouver to Whistler on the Sea To Sky Highway which is one of the most breathtaking roads anywere. Riding above Vancouver on one of the 3 mountains; Cypress, Grouse or Seymour was always great and right in town. And yes, thats me coming up Mt.Baker in Washington state about an hour from the border (1.5 hours from Vancouver).

All of these spots are within about an hour or so from my place in Melbourne. I haven't even put one up of the Great Ocean Road. I'm very lucky to be a motorcyclist who lives in Australia. Minus the speed cameras of course.

Just got back from 8 days touring through the Pyrennes in northern Spain. More of the best roads you can ever find in any one place. Did 2000 km from Barcelona, up the coast, then into Figueres, across to Pamplona, then back to Barcelona. 80% of the tour was amazing twisties or sweepers. I'm just starting to sort through my GoPro videos, but here's a screen shot to wet your appetite.

South Island, New Zealand--perhaps the best riding I've ever experienced.

Hwy 61 in Minnesota.. just south of the border crossing.

Careful in that area, construction companies up there seem to think marking pavements cuts is optional. Cost me several grand for new axles for my camper trailer there last summer, would hate to hit one on a bike. :(

Good suggestion.. I'm def going to be making a daytrip up there soon

Note that road 71 is not very amazing, lots of patches and nasty looking road ... but let me make it clear that 65 and 508 are nice, clean and like freshly pave.

River road from Wellandport to Welland. Niagara parkway, Front Road from Port Ryerse to Long Point.
