MOSPORT - August 22nd!!!

And how many calls do you think they fielded in the last 48 hrs from guys who would like their money back because they are looking at the weather forecast and figuring they might like to not go and get their money back?
For what it's worth, I didn't ask for my money back, I just asked if I can use it as a credit for the next track day.
He was so ****** I apologized and hung up. lol

Let's hope the rain holds out!

I can see 3 separate forecasts right now that say everything from 100% chance of rain in the morning and afternoon to the other end of 50-50 between 1 and 3 PM.

I was referring to the "non-transferable" policy, not about refunds---I understand people know they are taking a risk with the weather, and the organizers need to cover their expenses regardless of rain or not, it's normal.

Maybe so they can sell your spot to someone else and make double the profit while you get screwed

Attitudes like this kill me. So if you crash in the first session of the day you'll probably also ask for a refund? Actually seen it happen.

Too many riders are so frivolous about their schedule that they book in advance and then abuse the process by trying to change it again and again. So when someone tries to back out only a few days before the TD, how successful do you think the organizer will be in filling that spot (that has been held for weeks?) That's also unfair to anyone who wanted to register but couldn't. Might be different if you request a change with over 2 weeks' notice, but again that is up to who is running the show.

Has been years since I've seen a TD get rained out completely. Almost every one I've done this year has rained. Not attending this one, meaning you guys are probably safe! Hope you all have a great time.

Relax dude, it's not like your sponsor has a reputation for ripping people off or anything  A few years ago, I actually crashed on the first lap of the first session and NO I didn't ask for a refund cause I couldn't ride anymore. If it is too much of a hassle for them to transfer over trackdays from person to person they can just email buyers pdf passes with dates and serial numbers that they can print. Then at the track day they just let in the person who has the pass print-out for the day. The original buyer can also give a written and signed letter to the person who bough it to explain the transfer when he signs in. It's not that hard

It happened to me a few years ago at TMP... second track day ever and I didn't have any spares. So rather than report I wasn't going to ride at all anymore that day (Labour day long weekend, fully booked max riders per group), I 'sold' mine off the books to someone who was on the waiting list in exchange for withdrawing my riding spot. They wouldn't book another bike unless they knew I wasn't riding (but they didn't know I wasn't going to regardless).

He did end up paying them too lol... so cost him almost twice as much. But whatever, he was willing to do that.

Or sell it and have that person use your name.

Wet track here at CTMP.

Lol, well it's clear where you stand on them. Nonetheless, the non-transferable/non-refundable policy is standard practice for many organizers so until this changes you may want to stick with TMP.

Just got back in .. great day.

We had one small part this morning where everything got wet. Other than that, the day was clearing up and warm.

Mina, sorry I couldn't spend more time with you. The red flag in expert really set us back and we had to. Get going. To Tremblant.

Fil Mac, she went out to Corner 9 to get ready for your session but the long delay due to red flag meant she was helping me load the trailer and not snapping photos. Next tack day.

Saw your truck parked up, when I came looking for you, you weren't around. lol

It was a great day indeed, didn't ride as much as I wanted to but at least I got to see what the hype was all about.
Awesome track, the elevation changes and blind corners were scary as ****. Need more track time before I go back there.
