MOSPORT - August 22nd!!!

I'd get your rains ready instead of those fancy slicks...looks like wet is gonna follow this hot humid spell.
 
It looks like I now have a spot to sell in intermediate. I started a separate thread as well. Please PM me if anyone is interested in taking it.

I don't think RC will allow that but it looks like I might give up my spot as well.
Riding in the rain is not fun.

Mosport has its own unique weather being up on the moraine...don't give up hope yet

A couple of people successfully transferred their August 8th spots. I believe it's allowed depending on who you talk to at Riders Choice.

Whatever you do, don't talk to John today, he doesn't sound like he's in a good mood.
 
I'm just an observer and not affected by this (for now), but I just wonder why they have this non-transferable track day policy. I understand why they wouldn't allow cancellations, but they've got nothing to lose for allowing transfers.

Maybe so they can sell your spot to someone else and make double the profit while you get screwed
 
They are tired of people selling slots with no warning. Even 8/8 they had guys show up and say "I bought Bob's slot"

The new guy has no proof. The payment wasn't from Bob substitution. RC don't know the new guy. And to boot 2 of the "I bought the slot from Bob" guys get black flagged by the marshals for endangeing other riders.

Difficult but I understand on a day that is high stressed enough...

Sure, I understand these reasons completely. I can also think of possible solutions though. Hopefully they can find a way to offer a product in the future, which is even better.

And how many calls do you think they fielded in the last 48 hrs from guys who would like their money back because they are looking at the weather forecast and figuring they might like to not go and get their money back?

I can see 3 separate forecasts right now that say everything from 100% chance of rain in the morning and afternoon to the other end of 50-50 between 1 and 3 PM.
