Minivan Bike Transport

If a theif wants one of our bikes they will take it simple as that. This thread however was to answer how the OP should transport his bike to the track as his trailer wasn't ready. And bikes being stolen with vans isn't a new idea check YouTube.

So far all of the options are awesome. Track time and fees plus hotel get pricey, so the van option is appropriate as not everyone has the loot to buy a vehicle to tow plus have an enclosed trailer.

Thieves are able to load a bike in a van 10x quicker than I can. If anything we are the ones needing the tips.

AMEN to that brother. Look at that threat posted recently about the 2009 r6 black and gold jacked from the posters garage using a minivan.

For future reference. This is my old bike in the back of a Pontiac Montana.

What about mounting points in a pickup truck or cargo van? The hooks your using here are part of the interior floor it looks like. I'm in the process of possibly renting a cargo van or pick up to go get my bike in the US but not sure how to tie it down :S

The tie downs in those pictures are where the seats would clip in. Those would not be in a cargo van though, so be aware. I'm not sure about if pickups come with them or not because I bought my truck used.

Most pickup trucks have spots to hook tiedowns to. Cargo vans dont generally have them, but some models do. Check with the rental company.
