-2011 ninja 250r topped out @ 160 with a 250lb rider.
-got it TO LEAN on a few ramps and bayview/pottery road.
-Hamilton is full of crack zombies.

Got bored last night drove out to Hamilton on the ninjette. Was astounded how dead downtown was at 11pm, and how many crackheads were out and about...had one take a run at me thank god the light turned green otherwise you'd be reading another story about police searching for a motorcyclist that fled the scene..

First time i pushed it on the highway ramps, was a real thrill leaning in at those speeds..Also Topped out the ninjette @ 160, no wobbles when i tucked. Sitting upright, the wind was pushing me around a little.

Grabbed some bubble tea and some grub, from what i think was the only place open downtown @ 11pm that wasn't a pizza joint.

Rode back to the city, and hit pottery road. its really nice and grippy since the resurface. Got pretty sideways there and on bay-view getting back onto the dvp.

All this made me realize as much as i want a cruiser, i think the next bike will be a 600 ss. (This is my first season, won't be until my third.)

I've been working on my cornering: trying to get as low as possible but I'm still pretty chicken of getting too much speed, applying my breaks and high-siding. Any tips?

sideways.

Just practice, I have to say tho definitely taking the m1 exit course with learning curves helped me push past that fear. just don't hit the breaks during the turn, slow down before it, get in the right gear where you're in your power band and stay steady on the throttle and lean with the bike. if you start to veer to much, ease off or on the throttle ever so slightly and shift your weight slowly for fine adjustments.

You'd be amazed how many there are during the day

sideways

Yep Im sure you were backing that thing into all the corners and lofting the front wheel up on exits... Rossi. Sounds like your extensive 4 weeks of actual riding experience has finally paid off!

Jump off and land on your feet running if it starts to high side.

And the d0uch& train rolls in for a stop. Not at all saying i'm a pro racer with uber 1337 skills, just saying it was fun to get that thing to lean in. Let me put it you this way, LEANING enough there were a couple times i wish i had knee pads. getting a 250 to lean over isn't that far of a stretch..pretty sure your granny could do it.

That being said 2,390 post in a year, maybe if you spent more time riding than posting you would know what I'm talking about instead of trying to sh*t on my parade.

*edit* This is not a thread about showing off, if anything just trying to show that even bigger guys can have a ton of fun on a 250...that and Hamilton is like zombie land, but for crack.

lol seriously bro?

usually i don't board the d0uche train, but c'mon... you've just admitted to doing 160 on public streets... going 'sideways' on ramps? for the love of...

this thread has to be a joke...

choo! choo!

I think he's confusing 'sideways' with 'leaning the bike over'.

amiright?

I stilll have not found the joy of hitting the highway ramps, still afraid of a lowside :(

change sideways to lean for those of you with your panties in a bunch. fyi its ok to pull over and pick out that wedgie.
seems almost every thread in this section gets derailed worst than the bb.com misc.

Hey, next time you're around, send a PM or something. I do most of my riding in the late late and dark hours of the day in Hamilton, because I work and commute from Toronto during the day. I think you spent most of your time in the east downtown area of Hamilton...there're much better roads to hit IN THE CITY, which don't have zombies only nice corners to scrape both left and right knees if you wish.

Thats gtam for you.

lol. pushing a 250 to 160 then saying you're not to upgrade for atleast another season? You're already pro bro!

What part about "We don't want to hear about your mile long wheelie down the 401 in rush hour" piece was hard to understand for you? You did something not in the least impressive, yet still illegal.

Juking a dude because he makes a ton of posts towards a community he cares about... one you're posting to right now.. That's just lulzy. (Protip: vast majority of posts people make here are during the winter when they can't ride.)

Seriously, I can't see the allure behind acting like a hardass on gtam. You'll invariably look like a darn fool.

Also, 2/10 for making us all reply.

And how's the bike treating ya? Without assuming you're obese or overly muscular, you must be 7' for a heathly BMI. Tight fit I'd guess. (forum infraction here I come!)

You know, posting 160km/h on a public forum can get you in trouble.

posting what...?Ninja 250 topped out @ 160 ****ing km/h...
For all we know he know he could be riding anywhere...you just assume on the street because he mentions some ramps buts that has nothing to do with the statement.
Don't be such a wuss.

give me a break... he's going to the track during his "Midnight ride" ... you guys friends or what?

i'm not trying to flame you or the OP, but this thread is ridiculous and am still hoping i'm the only one who isn't in on the joke.
