Oh... on a related note.
Air Canada and West Jet waive baggage fees for CAF members and vets.
Just check your bags at the counter...
Present appropriate ID and they'll tag your bag and away it goes.

*other airlines may have the same policy, but I've only ever flown AC and WJ...

That’s a nice thing . You still may not get your bag at the other end but at least you didn’t pay for the inconvenience.

True ! Lol.

It does save lot of money though... my last trip flying to Kelowna it would have been $100 extra each way for our luggage.
That gave Mrs. Gaoler an extra $200 to spend on Okanagan wine.
