The ones that are firmly stuck in my memory are the SCR 6HR MX events at the Burlington claypits and seeing my first MX races. First time was in 1970 at Centennial park in Etobicoke. The second one was the first Toronto Supercross at Exhibition Stadium.

2004
Ewan McGregor decided to embark on the greatest PR campaign for a motorcycle ever

2014 Toronto Supercross. James Stewart's ride that night goes down as one of the best in sx history and to be there was pretty cool. If anyone is interested in sx/mx and hasn't watched it before that race is on youtube.

What's this?
Tom Cambell.A wonderful genuine guy that epitomizes the GTAM spirit. He had a bbq every year for a long time at his house in Midland. Open invitation for all to meet at the Elmvale zoo and ride a scenic route to his place.
Tom suffered a stroke a few years ago sadly.
See the sticky in rr.

What's this?
Back in 2007 or 2008, I went to my first Ride For Sight event where the meet up was in Whitby or somewhere similar. During the last few minutes approaching the massive parking lot, my exhaust starts making a really loud sound as I'm pulling in - kind of like it was going to fall off. There must have been 1000 bikes there, but I came alone and knew no one.
I get off my bike and start looking at my exhaust and being clueless, I ask some guy with a bandana and all these patches on his vest if he could take a peek. I figure he must know bikes because he looks like an official biker. He says sure no problem and comes over to look at my bike and gets down on the ground and looking all over the underside of my exhaust. Finally he says he wouldn't suggest I go on this ride, but that if I decide to go, he will make sure I didn't get stranded at the side of the road and either get home safely or get to the destination with everyone else.
This guy was Aminal.

2008 inaugural MotoGP race at Indianapolis.

Cheering on Nicky Hayden while he led for almost the entire race. But after Rossi passed him, he immediately called the race from the front due to a silly little thing called Hurricane Ike.

Robbed!

I remember riding back to Toronto after the race during the hurricane, bike leaned 40 degrees into the wind the entire way.

Crazy!

But very memorable.

Ducatis in the parking lot blown over by the hurricane because some riders left their bike cover on and it became a sail.

Sportbike Rally in Parry Sound
Riding up there with a group out of Mississauga, circa ?'06?. The pavement was brand new.
Someone from gtam was leading. (thinking it was a blackbird). I wish I knew / could remember who it was, because it was the best ride ever.

Gene? Was it you?

Don't think so, I would have been on my R1200GS in 06, not a sport bike.

I think I remember a ride we were both on back around the same time though, it was an early morning ride on Hwy 7 to the casino in Port Perry for breakfast and some guy in a truck tried to intentionally run us all off the road.

Was that with you?

So long ago, can't remember.

The Copetown races with international bikers ...astonishing amount of air given the bikes of the time.

Camping at Mosport.
