The monarchy has long since lost its meaning and we should have been shot of it long ago. While I appreciate the ties to the UK and anything that differentiates us from the US, it's a bizarre vestige of a long bygone era. The royals have had to resort to cheap celebrity soap opera popularity contest nonsense to justify their extremely expensive existence, and it only highlights how pointless the whole exercise is.
As for Meghan, I can sympathise with her difficulties with the British tabloids, which are the muckiest of muck rakers anywhere. The Toronto Sun at its worst was absolutely nothing compared to The S*n, Express, Mail, etc. Wanting to check out of that particular news cycle is fully within her rights.

The alternative is to keep schtum while the British tabloids say what they want with impunity. They did try to leave somewhat quietly, and have been front page fodder ever since, with her being a particular target as the strumpet who seduced poor Harry away from his duty and lured him into the dirty American celebrity world.
Whether the upset is racial or not isn't for me to say, but there is undeniable vitriol from the papers I mentioned, as well as the usual cast of British talking heads (see: Morgan, Piers) who think the sun shines out of Winston Churchill's hindquarters and won't bloody well shut up about a war won by the Russians...

To be honest, I didn't even know she was "black" until I saw her mother. The European genes are definitely dominant
I have a friend who works as a production assistant on Suits. She said she was a complete narcissist and raging ****.
I had to work for a narcissist and did a lot of research on the traits. Attention seeking, victimisation and controlling the narrative are all traits. The best way to deal with one is by presenting facts.
My wife watched it and she said it just didn't add up. I watched Hizzy and Foggy going head to head in the 1992 TT -
Being of mostly Irish with some Scottish and First Nations descent I don't care much for the Royal Family, but I do feel sorry for that guy and am so grateful my wife is who she is.
If she feels so victimized, perhaps she wants to leave her compound some time and drive 2 miles east to that tent city in East Side where some poor undocumented worker is standing at Home Depot looking for 4 hours work at less than minimum wage to feed his kids

Anyway I didn’t read or watch anything with them so I don’t even know what the issue is. I would assume it’s crying about how difficult it is to be a millionaire with millionaire problems.
