So does anyone know of a way to get medical insurance for doing a "contest of speed" down in the states? I'd like to go do wera at grattan on the 9th/10th

Ask Cola for the Contact info he got insurance through. Double check they will cover you for racing. You might also want to contact WERA, they might know of an insurance company in the US that will cover you if you don't live in the US.

Trackdays are classified in this way by insurance underwriters.

I'm glad I never hurt myself at the track then when I worked in Michigan. And even now does this mean none of my life insurance, disability insurance is valid if something were to happen at the track?

Aside from the OP wanting to tell the world he's going racing, I cant think of anything that is going to be (or will be) said on this thread that hasn't been said before in relation to trackday/raceday medical insurance for the US of A.

Search button is you're friend.

Being British I thought you would be on the up and up about the king's language. :D

You have me there by the short and curlies. I'm not even going to attempt an edit. Shameful.

But, just for the record, it's the Queens English at the moment.

not searching only internet is my blackberry. Colas contact is no good anymore they stopped offering it. I had CAA coverage for last weekends track day altho not entirely sure if I was really covered. Ill contact wera

So no one has a contact? Colas contact said he can't find anywhere that does it, not even for track days. M dieing to go to grattan again but with no medical coverage and the couple high speed off camber crests that seems like a bad idea. i

I've yet to find anything that replaces the old coverage from Lakeridge, which is part of the reason I'm not riding in the US any longer.

If you have a CMA competition license, they offer Out of Province, "PER EVENT" coverage, but its not as comprehensive as the other options that used to be available.

I liked the $5mil coverage vs the $250k offered by the CMA underwriters.

What's a cma competition license? Is that something you have to sign up for when you get your race license or?I'd probably continue to go to the states with 250k coverage

CMA = Canadian Motorcycle association, they really only do flat track, trials and enduro sanctioning now(they've ****** of the Roadrace and MX communities enough long ago for them to create their own sanctioning bodies)

you don't want to go to the US with $250k insurance.

That's one minor hospital visit
