Although we are arn't vegetarians the Squeeze and I try for 2-3 suppers each week without meat. However the bullpen is a little thin. Any one willing to share recipes or meal ideas that don't involve meat?

Thanks.

Barley sandwiches are meat free.

Make youir own falafel, flavour it with something that makes it taste like meat, throw on BBQ.

Sushi !!! even if it has salmon in it, salmon should be "forgiven".

@timtune I love to eat, hate to cook.
In a pinch I grab some thin egg noodles or rice, sautee some peppers, onions, mushrooms & then toss it all together with some soy sauce
Check out the What's For Dinner thread.

Fried rice with tons of veg
Tofu prepared 1 million ways (marinating and sauces come a long way)
Bean patty burgers
Bean salads (can be greek style, mexican style, creole style, etc)
Eggplant sandwiches parmigiana
Egg wraps in different styles.
Veggie thai curries (with that coconut milk and all that stuff on top of egg noodles, or rice or whatever)

my go to if I'm feeling lazy...

1 cup of minute rice (yeah, I know....)
2 cans tuna
1 can of mushrooms
1 can of corn
1 can of 6 bean mix
1 can of tomato soup
1 can of black olives
italian seasoning

Can be eaten cold or warmed up with some parmesan cheese (or shredded cheese) on top...quick and easy with lots of protein (tuna and beans)...fresh veggies can obviously be substituted for the canned...

I've also done a Greek style without the rice, mushrooms and corn and add in cucumber, grape tomato and feta cheese...this one I prefer cold...

I’m 100% sure that @shanekingsley will have some good input in this thread.
I actually eat pretty boring. Same thing every day for breakfast (oats, trail mix +chia/flax/hemp mix with berries) and most days the same thing for lunch (veggies from the garden w/ hummus in a wrap or sandwich). Dinner is what we eat different each night and it's always amazing, but I don't cook much, because I'm the official taste tester.
This author/website is based out of Oakville - great recipes and we have one of her books.

are you guys lookin for quick and easy or your ok with more work?

there is a cookbook available on Amazon called "she glows" , its vegetarian and very good

you can blow your brains out in the vegan/vegetarian/organic aisle . Just read labels and search the interweb for non militant vegetarian options

I can't believe no one's mentioned Indian yet... some of the best vegetarian (and even vegan) dishes are Indian in my opinion!

Also can't go wrong with pizza or tacos/burritos... even if you don't like refried beans there are a lot of other protein options (such as those fake ground beef options) that go well in mexican dishes.

Pulled mushrooms in a bun. Shred some king oyster mushrooms with two forks then bake them with BBQ sauce and use like pulled pork.

Portobello mushroom burgers. Grill a cap, fill the cap with whatever you like (cheese if you’re not vegan) all your favourite fillings and put it in a bun.

If you don’t mind the meat substitutes Costco’s meat substitute burgers are really good, better than Beyond Meat. The Beyond Meat sausages are pretty good though. Lots of boutique vegan meat substitutes too. We’ve had “char sui” pork from Quebec that’s been amazing, they sell it in Kensington market.

If you’re vegan, cashew cream makes a very good, protein packed cream substitute for curries, “cheese” based sauces (nutritional yeast, mustard and lemon juice added) Etc.

Home made pizzas taste great with fresh veggies.

Lots of options! (my wife is vegan).

well... quick and easy is always better but willing try spend a bit more time now and again.
