Mastercraft Maximum Torque Wrenches On Sale Again

These are crap, never click when they should. The digital one's are better.

These are gonna be half off again once the sale for this week kicks in

Mastercraft torque wrenches aren't that good, I have tested them with a torque tool and the actual torque varies up to 20 ft lbs at the high range each time it clicks. It could also be because the mechanics who own the Mastercraft torque wrenches don't take care of them also. I would recommend the ones from Princess Auto, Westward or Snap-On depending on what you want to pay.

Technique is really important with click-type wrenches, even with high-end Snap-ons.

I have both Mastercraft Maximums, they're perfectly good. I calibrated them against my one certified Snap-On and I double-check them regularly using an AC Delco digital torque adapter.

The Princess Auto stuff is crudely made but still accurate enough.

Lots of user error involving these.

When I have had mine calibrated they have been pretty good across their full range

Tested mine against a $500 digital snap on and it was pretty accurate

Good to know your Masrercraft torque wrenches are accurate. Must be some mechanics don't take care of them like they would a $300 Snap-On torque wrench when I checked them.
