Missed it, anyone went?
Yep. It was good. Bikes got booked pretty fast. I was the second one on the CBR 500R. It felt like a very nice bike. I don't have much to compare it to, but it was comfortable with a good amount of power.
And Durham Police decided to plant a cruiser on the demo route. Luckily we ran into a fellow biker that gave us a heads up.

Came there just before 9 and the line was long already...I knew I should've left at like 8! Anyways ended up getting the last ride for the 1000rr at 3. When I came back there was a cop in the parking lot, apparently he joined one of the rides before lol good thing he left when I demo cause man I let this bad boy go. If insurance wasn't a factor I'd make the jump to a litre bike. Can't wait to try out the zx-10 and too bad Yamaha isn't bringing the R1 for a demo.
You'd take the 1000rr over your 848??
I'm gonna go to kahuna demo day this Thursday. Hopefully it's not busy since its on a Thursday
I actually thought that after riding 1000rr and going back to my 848 it's gonna feel under powered but not at all. The 848 still has alot of grunt down low, it's the midrange where the cbr really felt nice, past 6k and onwards I was hanging on....pulled like a freight train. It felt lighter than I though it would be too and way more comfortable than the 848. If I were to move on, the CBR would be on the list but I still have to try out the others. Maybe going to a weekday demo would be better, prolly less line up, hopefully I can get a day off.
Ohhh that was you!. I was the guy on the 600rr, on the same ride, LOL.
I remember seeing you leave on your 848, and thinking: why the eff is this guy demo'ing a 1000rr when he's got a mint 848?! lol.

I know what you mean. The smoothness of the 1000rr is amazing. Even at low rpms that thing feels so smooth. My ride back home was crap on the Gsxr.
install a Bazaz or Power Commander.
For smoothness and refinement? Or more power? I am quite content on the power of 600's. it's the smoothness of liters that I want

Sell your bike and buy a 750.
If not change to a full exhaust system and add one of the above along with sprocket adjustments.
You will get more plus the bike will be lighter.
Or just buy a 750 or litre bike and be done with it.

I'd love a 750. Only problem is Suzuki makes it. Litter is overkill but I can't lie if I had the money to burn I'd be all over a 1000rr
Too bad about your problem because you are missing out as you have already stated.
The 750 is the best all round bike imo. A few small mods and you have an impressive machine for the price and insurance costs.
lol awesome. Gotta try em all I suppose. There's a few people that took notice at you bike including me Badass naked bike.
How'd you like the 600rr?
Oh yeah for sure. But I'm not a fan of fit and finish of Suzuki. I've had Kawi Suzuki and Honda, and imo the quality on the Honda can't be touched by either of the two.
