Marine battery

Yes COSTCO still sells Deep Cycle batteries. I saw them there earlir today. You want the Deep cycle one as opposed to the the Starting/deep cycle one they sell for boats.

If you ex RV fridge is anything like the one I have in my RV the battery is only used for the thermostat, sparker and the brain or it (circuit board) that controls what system it runs with, Propane or 110V if available. My original propane fridge had a always on pilot light so no battery required.

The draw for this will be minimal and a smaller light battery should be fine for weekends and thus easier to carry home for charging.
