Maple/Vaughan Weekly Meets

Welcome to the Vaughan/Maple part of this DB. We always meet at the shopping centre at Rutherford/Weston, northwest corner in front of the Tim Horton's. We did ALOT of riding last year including rides to Ottawa,Wasaga,Parry Sound SportBike Rally, Muskoka, Bike night at Shopsy's among others. I put on 14,000 kms and our lead rider/co-pilot/navigator HiBusa did over 18,000 kms.

Everyone is welcome including newbies, cruisers and others. Just about all of us ride sport bikes or sport touring bikes but all others are encouraged to come out.

One word of warning: When a certain poster says the upcoming ride is 'newbie friendly" or
" moderate pace" your throttle hand better be in good shape!!

We usually get a good turnout for a ride but nothing huge which is good.

P.S. I have same bike- sp. ed. black/red.

Just wondering what days does everyone usually meet up around ? Please share just so that I know, and I can let my buddy know as well !

We usually do one ride at the beginning of the week (usually Tues or Wed) and then sometimes another much longer ride on the weekends. Did alot of long one day rides- Wasaga, Elephant lake Rd., Muskoka- on Sat. or Sun.

We will also be doing the Ride for Sight and Bad Ride this year.

Welcome, hope to see everyone out this year.
I'm planning a few more out of town trips like Pennsylvania, Adirondack, Vermont.
Hope the weather will be better this year and we can get more.
 
I wish I new about these rides last season before I sold my bike :(

But I am picking up an Aprilia SR50 just to get a little riding fix, so if there's ever a SLOW paced ride I'm in!

All our rides are slow pace and newbe friendly.

Hey Steve, what is this I here about a Kawasucker? Did you?

Well, newbie friendly is where the new guy rides as fast as the bike can go. So if your bike max speed is 280 than you can ride that at your own pace.We never push the bike beyond its max speed and slow is where we can still wave at the nice person sitting in the car with the flashing lights.
I strongly feel we should all be allowed to ride at our own pace, if it take you 60 secs to reach max speed that's OK, but if it take you 10 secs even better, we encourage 10 secs but you are welcome to ride at your own pace, we don't discriminate.
Please ride safe and have fun, and always at your own pace and don't try to go faster than your bike.

If you want to come out this Friday a few of us are meeting at WEGZ for wings at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome.
 
Soooo what's going on with the SPort Bike Rally in Parry SOund !.

I believe someone said they'll post that event in this thread, Just checking in to see how many people will be attending from Maple/Vaughan since it would probably be a kick *** idea to ride all the way up :D

Bro the rally is not until July 3-5. However, I can assure that there will be a bunch of us going up on the Saturday like last year. And this year I want to ride in the famous Thunder Ride which is supposed to be a blast.

In the meantime just watch some WSBK or Daytona 200 on the tube like the rest of us.
 
Anyone feel like joining me at Wegz sports bar, Major Mac/Jane this Friday night March 6th at 8:30 to watch Daytone 200? SpeedTV starts broadcast at 8:30 and I will be there at 8pm. Would be nice to watch some moto racing and get into the riding mood. Let me know who's interested.
