MAPLE LEAFS SUCK

Let's go Oilers....

I'm now an Oiler fan.

I'm as big of a leafs fan as they come.

I'm really disappointed.

I coached high level minor hockey for 30 years and have some decent connections in MLSE. Their 2023 biz plan met business goals at 5 games round 2.

Argos needed to win the cup to hit their goal.

Kinda sucks the bar was set that low.

Just so I am understanding what you’re saying, they only had to make it to game 5 of round 2 to meet their goals? Wow. Hopefully the brass doesn’t see losing the series as a success.
Things need to change - but I don’t have the slightest clue as to what the solution is.

Starts right at the top with Shannahan, he’s had the keys for 9 years and nothing to show for it.

Dubas doesn’t have a contract and I don’t think Keefe is experienced enough. AM34 showing in the second round wouldn’t have happened under a seasoned coach.

They finished the year with their 3rd goalie, who probably is the future for the team, hopefully he doesn’t get too burned out.

Agree on all points.
Probably should have kept Lamariello instead of Dubas, but I don’t think that was ever the plan.

That's what I'm saying!

From what I understand, their biz plan has a set number of playoff games. That doesn't mean the plan to bow out it just means they planned and forecasted their biz to need an exit no earlier than round 2 game 5.

And it's exactly what they got.

Based on that, everyone gets to keep their job. Especially at the management level.

Perhaps the general public should be made aware of this master plan in case they wonder why there isn't much change in the off season.

Watching the Kraken win game 6. Refreshing to see a team wanting the win, and only in their second year. Head coach was a former asst coach for the leafs lol. Fans are actually regular joes, not suits. Atmosphere 10 times greater

We need more grit, and less prima donna's counting their millions.

If I can fly under the radar next fall, I'll post the 2024 plan.

Exactly. That’s why I’m hoping they don’t consider this a success, even if they met their business goals (assuming those are based mostly on revenue).

But there has been a massive disconnect between ownership and the fans forever...

Yeah...I was more thinking the fact that if the business objectives were met, I hope they don’t stand pat and think the minute progress on the ice was good enough.
