Was at the moto store this morning, picking up some parts for the new bike.

They were having an end-of-year clearance sale on apparel - up to 50% off selected gear.

Saw a nice Corsair-X (RX-7V Evo) 2024 colours on the display stand near the 50% off sign. I jokingly asked if that was half off.

Salesguy behind the counter nodded his head.

I didn't hesitate. I grabbed the helmet, he rang it up and I was waiting for the "Oh sorry, this one is definitely not 50% off"...

Nothing.

I ran out of the store clutching the helmet like a thief.

$734.00 CDN. Tax-in. :oops:

I keep waiting for the phone to ring asking me to return the helmet...

Also... Photochromatic visor for the Corsair-X is like half of what I paid for the helmet itself!

When Ducati finally exits the Desmodromic business (which it looks like it will be soon), this helmet should be quite the collectors item!

I had a Dainese KH-R helmet (the one on my profile) - I absolutely loved the design! But unfortunately I wrecked it on the track and was heartbroken that I couldn't find another one since Dainese had bought AGV by then and got out of the helmet market.

When I saw this Ducati Corse in similar colours, I was smitten. But no way I was paying $1,500 for a helmet...

Is it weird that I want to leave the visor sticker with the price tag on all the time? 😁

You should have said..."actually I'll take two of these pls". But I get it. You didn't want to give him any more time to think about anything in case he changed his mind.

You think they still made a profit on that helmet? Or if the employee is still working at the dealer?

Trying helmets on with the sticker on the visor at the store is annoying.
You slip the lid on, close the visor, look in the mirror and "oh shite... I can't see anything"
