Thanks ...yeah. There was even a bucket list latish model CB400 4 around that I could just squeak into but rather have the GS
It's been on the market for 5 weeks and there are two so.....

All things being equal, if I were you I might enquire as to the shop rate at the BMW shop you'd need to frequent. I realize that the bike probably isn't that complicated but it might be worthwhile checking into.
Thanks - not concerned about it on this model and my regular Honda guy has serviced these 310s. That's how I got an afternoon with one. If I get the one I'm after it has full service record and it appears a meticulous owner. Single cylinder baby thumper I like. I'm unlikely to go much off pavement but I like to have the option. Only slight annoyance is small tank. 11.5L with 1 L reserve
330km range is close enough to the Honda and better than the MT.
MPG runs mid 60's so cheap rides. Keeping fingers crossed that my sale completes tomorrow.
F9 Ryan did a video on GS310, if I recall the GS310 is a cosmetic ADVs, similar to the first years of themCB400x - plastic and tire changes from the road bike.
I’d personally love to get one of those Vstrom 250s. 500km range, 35lm/l, light, 2 cylinder.
CB400X ??? Asian model
Honda has odd designations for ADV...they called my CBF1000 ADV.
The 310 swings further to off pavement than the CB500x I had. Better, longer suspension for a start, rear rack
BMW’s G 310 GS is not a hardcore adventure bike. And it was never intended to be. Instead, the German manufacturer developed an urban dual sport based off of the already existing G 310 R roadster, with moderate off-road abilities. Any rider looking for a true off-roader at a similar price point should consider a small-displacement dual sport such as Kawasaki’s KLX300 or Honda’s CRF300L. But anyone who wants an accessible adventure motorcycle with BMW pedigree in an approachable package, look no further than the BMW G 310 GS. 2023 BMW G 310 GS Review
90% of my riding will be tarmac. While extra range is nice, 300 km on a tank is fine ....my rides are rarely more than 200+ these days. I also like a single.
As I mentioned I took the model for an afternoon a couple years back, enjoyed it and price is now acheivable.
Really like the farkles he has on this - hoping for response.

He's a member of the Off Road Riders here and has done far more on the bike off pavement than I ever will. As I said, I like singles...many years on a KLR650 here. My riding buddy who is serious off road - long trip rider approves of the maybe machine....still waiting on response
and my existing Airhawk is plum wore out
The legendary inline 4 with a spectacular 18,500prm redline sounds like an F1 car on the streets. Getting rare to find in this condition, custom Castrol livery. Starts excellently -Carbs stripped back, vapour blasted and rebuilt 500km ago. -new fuel filters -Forks recently rebuilt with adjustable preload-custom gauge cluster with blue LED backlights. -SDR adjustable brake levers -New Stator-New Chain and chainrings -New starter motor -New throttle cables and tube+ grips. -Brand new battery -Brand new genuine regulator/rectifier-Yoshimura style bolt old muffler- not overly loud but certainly accentuates the tone.-Brake Calipers fully rebuilt with new Ferodo pads+fresh DOT super 4 fluid -just did oil change, penrite oil+ genuine oil filter.-brand new tires. -replaced valve cover gaskets, checked valve clearances.-nice titanium hardware on engine covers Runs healthy and pulls strong.Clean bike with good history around 36,000ks.
Yamaha gone and paid for. That was my biggest concern as I had a slim $300 deposit. Got $4800 for it and paid $45 for the roadworthy.
This 2021 MT-03 was listed and sitting right beside my listing.
That's almost a flippable deal on it's own as the going price is $5750 to $7490! for the other 5 listed in Australia
4 years newer than the one I sold and only 9886 km, and the buyer dropped his price to $4500!!
They could have walked away from the deposit on mine and been ahead.
Stage 2 tomorrow .GS-310..just need to navigate the additional 2+" of seat height tho I'm getting mixed info on that 32.9 seems the accurate amount....vs 30.7 on MT. However seat design and slightly larger frame should make that a non-issue and have no need for any pillion stowage with the big rear rack.
There is a low seat option but $580 ....non-starter for 15mm gain.....0.6 inch. Honda CBF1000 had a wonderful seat height adjustment built in.
At the dealer for roadworthy.
Still getting mixed info on seat height. This first ride review mentions 30.9 which would suit me very fine.
So I offered the seller $5k ....he was at $5146 .....he came back to me with $4200 !!!???
Roadworthy and he is delivering it in 10 min. What a prince and a very good deal.
In the driveway and yes I can get on rather easily - the Sit and Fly cover helps
Oh yeah ...full tank of gas too. All the service records.
gonna treat myself to an ice cream drumstick. Thanks to all that responded √
Not this time. ....the 2015 CBF300 with 65000 km transformed into a 2018 GS310 with 20k km and a ton of farkles...mission accomplished....oh and left $600 extra in my pocket.
