Girlfriend has a MacBook. Attended a couple of free (cough) tutoring sessions at the Apple store. They taught her some very basic stuff but said..... Here, buy some more stuff.
If Apple is so much better, why do so
many people have trouble with it?
Not trying to offend anyone, so don't good there.

My last Apple product, an iPhone, flew off my bike on a ride thru some twisties. Don't miss it, or any of Apple services, my last few exchanges with their Apple Geniuses was so bad I decided to dump our iPads and MacBook too.

I'm all Android now. Everything works, Google stuff is way more intuitive, fewer quirky stuffs, and no holding my breath at update time.

I treat cloud storage as temporary.....I like having stuff on local physical drives. Eventually I'll have to copy them to a new one, but by then I might not be around.....lol.

same here….Amazon photos auto upload and download the lot to a hard drive when I remember.

Is there a photo cataloguing app for hard drives? Something that might delete duplicates etc? I do a data dump and it can be a bit messy.

Adobe Lightroom may be the best one , google photo is ok , apple photo only works with apple . Lightroom classic is good .

We use both Windows and apple here , my company stuff only works on windows . We use iPads , wife has almost stopped using a laptop , iPad Pro does 98 % of what she needs
