M1 Exit Test - Serpentine Ride - Cone Dimensions

The driver centre at Vic Park and Lawrence, in the rear at the east end where it widens, has the spots for cones spray painted on the ground. If I recall right there are two sets of markings, one square: one, just a sopt. The square ones are further apart and the instructor moved the cones out to the square ones for a bigger bike. Maybe other centres have them marked too.

The cone spacing changes depending on the wheelbase of the motorcycle/scooter. The scooters have to use the shorter spacing (14ft) and longer wheelbase motorcycles have to use 17ft.

With regards to the testing center at Vic Park and Lawrence, I would stay away from that one. The test requires that you push the bike through a figure 8, and at that location you have to push uphill. I saw several people fail at that location simply because they were winded or feeling shaky after pushing their bikes and then they immediately had to do the slow serpentine. It's definitely harder to do at that location simply because the testing area is not level.

Sorry to bring up an old topic and I realize this is GTA forum but I was wondering if like the above post if anyone has any thoughts, opinions or details on the St. Catharines-Niagara location test center M1 exit test. Anything to know beforehand for that location?

Well obviously. I meant about the location.
Example: "at Vic Park and Lawrence, I would stay away from that one. The test requires that you push the bike through a figure 8, and at that location you have to push uphill. I saw several people fail at that location simply because they were winded or feeling shaky after pushing their bikes and then they immediately had to do the slow serpentine."

Being winded and feeling shaky has more to do with someones physical conditioning than the location of the test. The test is standardized across the province.

There is nothing specific to the St Catharines location that will help you pass the test.
