Luck be a lady... Wow!

Wtf??
How do you fall asleep while riding a motorcycle?

You get tired and nod off. Catch some zzzz's.

Same as you would fall asleep anywhere else.

There's nothing special about a motorcycle to prevent one falling asleep, except for the risk of injury.

I've been comfortable and tired enough on my bike that I've done the 1 second nod off thing before. Scared the **** outta me. More careful about riding tired/over long, boring distances now.

My gf fell asleep as a passenger on my friend's bike while we were riding together. He was riding aggressive/excitingly as well. She said she woke up when she felt herself falling off. She didn't tell anyone so we kept riding for another 2 hours or so after that. She won't get on a bike anymore.

In other words, it's not hard.

If she only had loud pipes this wouldn't have happened.......loud pipes save lives!

Not so much. I've fallen asleep on a Honda CBX with straight pipes. More than once. To use a police phrase, alcohol was a factor.:)

it happened to me before... it's possible... especially if you are running a straight line and the speed is constant (i.e. on highway)...

the vibration and the constant noise from the exhaust are a perfect combination.

I did some reading about sleep and how it affects the brain. They say its equivalent to driving drunk. When sleep deprived the brain will fall asleep for microseconds without being noticed.

I've fallen asleep...
it was so comfortable.
I saw a nice long stretch on the interstate, laid my head down on my tank and dozed off. came to a few minutes later when I had to make some turns

really refreshing.

The other time I was blitzed out of my mind and driving a car. that stuff makes me really sleepy so it wasn't a good combination.

I don't know. She was moved over pretty good when the truck passed her.
I was thinking that she got sucked over by the draft of the truck.
But then again, she made no evasive manoeuver.
