Does anyone know of a low fuel light kit that can be installed on MX bike tanks?

I am looking for one with no luck doing google searches....

Too hard to look into the tank? Or you just don't want to? either way you look at it all you have to do is unscrew the cap to see how much fuel is left, takes 2 seconds and doesn't cost a dime. That's what 99% of people that have mx bikes do.

Considering it's an MX bike, won't the low fuel light come on every time you hit a bump ?
I would assume the bike needs to be still for a moment to get an accurate reading.

Its an MX bike but I converted it to supermoto...I have run out of gas a few times already and end up pushing, so I guess Im too lazy to look...So thanks for the completely different suggestions and smart comments, but as the tread states what I really want is a fuel level warning light of some sort...

So if anyone actually knows of one, Id appreciate some info on it

Doesnt happen when I go off jumps on my sport bike, so I dont think it will happen on the MX bike either if its a similar float sensor setup...Even if it does thats ok, Im more concerned about getting a warning while ripping on 2 wheels...Also its a SM and I dont really do much jumping with it...A fuel level gauge would be sweet but all I really want is a low warning light, that can let me know to fill up or I will be pushing again soon...

Hmmmm...

All joking aside, would it be possible to install a Petcock w/reserve instead? So that you can switch to reserve and get to a gas station?

I dont think so, its fuel injected and has a fuel pump.....Not sure if anything exists that will work with that...

Someone suggested this lol

I am thinking more about the Clarke tank, not because its more transparent, but more so because it has a 2.6 gallon capacity compared to the 1.6 stock tank...Problem is their site only lists up to 2011 and my bike is a 2012 and uses a different tank..I have sent them an Email asking if they can make a 2012

How does it work?

When the sensor isn't submerged in fuel it heats up and trips the light?

I had something like that ^^^ on my old '86 VFR.
Not sure how it senses the fuel exactly, but you mount it at the level you want it to sense...

Clarke got back to me today, they are working on a 2012 tank because the 2011 tank does not fit as I suspected....They just couldn't give me an ETA on the new tank at all

I'd like to get a good look at the inside of a newer fuel tank for bike or car even, i bet a handy guy like you could rig something up using the existing system and modifying it.
The key would be knowing which company makes the smallest units, and of course, figuring out how to adapt it.
