I have the ignition code. That's not enough to cut a key.
The key code, which is not visible from the outside. It is inside the ignition assembly which is a ***** and a half to take apart.
I spoke to a half dozen locksmiths and a few dealerships already. The ignition code itself is not enough to cut the key.
How easy do you think it would be to steal a bike if the code required to duplicate a key was printed on the outside of the bike? lol

It should not be visible, and that would be silly, but once you have it, then I don't see what more the locksmith needs to cut a key, the half dozen dealerships and locksmiths you talked to say they need what if not just the code, that is what my question was...
on my bike it's printed on the ignition stem as well, but it's not visible until it has been removed, only then can you see the 4 digit code.
if your comments above were directed at me, if not carry on.....
I am asking besides the key code which you already have, what else do they need ?
So out of curiosity I decided to email a US dealer and ask them for advice. They asked for the 4 digit code stamped on the outside of my ignition saying this is my key code. I told them the code, they said code checks out and they can make me a key and mail it out.
Am I missing something here? Why did all the dealers and all the locksmiths here say this is not possible but yet this US dealer says it is?
