Looking to buy a 2005 ZX-6RR. Reasonable price?

I want to know who is out there putting on 3,000kms in a day lol.
Seems odd that there is only 3,000kms on a (now) 7 year old bike but as long as it's clean and hasn't been hurt from sitting for years without running than I don't think she's 'out to lunch'

I know the seller, shes a girl and that was her first bike....Shes only like 5 feet tall, so it was hard for her to ride and she liked the GSXR better..Thats why the KM is so low, she barely rode it...She also takes care of her stuff really well, so it is mint...

Lol.. win

and for the idiot that emailed me saying this is a 636 and asking why i have aftermarket stickers saying 600...ummmm are you stupid? you don't need a bike, you just need a helmet retard!

As far as the price goes. It's a bit high but the km's are very low.

The 6RR might actually be worth holding onto in the long run.

And if the person sending the Email actually knew as much as they think they do about the ZX6R 636 vs ZX6RR(600) theyd know the RR 600 was the only one that came with green matching lowers and nitrated forks...The 636 came with charcoal lowers and regular chrome forks...

Is this guy out to lunch or is it reasonable? Thanks.

Do you know about the 599's?!!?!? I don't think you know about how hard to come by these 05/06 599's really are

I do know they are hard to come by, has the slipper clutch as well. Just wanted to know if the price was in the right zone. Thanks guys.

Did Rodney email you lol

I wouldn't pay that for an 05,.... 08 and up probably. I cant see how the bike only has 3000k on it. There's no point in owning a bike with that type of mileage. Show bikes have more miles on them. At the very least I'd take a look at it, and feel out the owner.

03-04 no, 05-06 yes

Kawi put the same slipper clutch in the '05 636 so you'd be wrong.

I see that now, thanks for correcting me...
When I was looking for a track bike, I was focused on the 03/04's, and I knew one of the differences that the RR had a slipper and the 636 didn't.
I thought the same applied in the 05/06 but I was wrong.

I'm not a kawi guy but I can tell you the 636 doesn't...

You have no IDEA What this bike is about / history etc...and how rare it is...everyone has a 636...not many have a 599.

I'd love to own a 03/04 599 and a 05/06 599.

But can you trust the miles are legit? I'm also not a Kawi guy, so I'm not familiar with whats rare and what isn't, just seems like a lot of $$$ for something that old. If your someone that is going to appreciate it, like you obviously would, I guess it makes sense, but if your just a guy looking for a bike to ride, you can get much newer for the same buck.

I agree fully ^

It's just a ZX6 at the end of the day. It won't bring you any more pleasure than a 636 (probably a bit less, actually) and it's quite expensive for what it is. If this guy is just looking to ride then he can get a way better deal on something not as "rare".

With only 3000km, that could be the best posed bike in the GTA. I'd check the paint for damage cause if they didn't use a decent sponge to wash that bike you're screwed.

Bike's condition will dictate the mileage more or less...

i picked up an 03 Kat 600 with under 5K on it in september... it's mint condtion

there are low mileage bike out there...

I've seen 09 ZX6's going for 6500$ with somewhat decent mileage...
