Looking for some fitness guidance

I dont think weightloss via cutting out pieces of your body is the best plan. At the very least you are going to run out of useless parts soon.
Trust me I know!

Lost a nut on the left side....ok
Lost the gallbladder on the right...evened out
Now the appendix...
WTF I got nothing left on the left side to even it out....

Sounds like a good time.
I had mine taken out when I was a kid. Dr’s said they caught it shortly before it would have burst which made the difference between a teeny tiny scar and pretty much a wrap-around scar.
Reassuring! LoL
My sister had hers burst in the hospital while she was being told by the doctor that she was faking it 'to get a few days off school'...idiots doctors.

3 doctors told her 'it's just her trying to get out of school'.

Awesome….

FML...getting a slight pain in my lower right abdomen. Of course I get freaked out because it's where the appendix is...not something I want to go through with another surgery.

Call doctor...'no tests for appendix so just wait and if the pain gets worse...go to ER'

WTF.

I notice that doctors nowadays are so against seeing patients that it's ridiculous. Like F%@K...I have pain, I need to see you. Either give me something to check it out (ultrasound, blood work, whatever...) but don't just blow me off.

Go to er. What could go wrong?

Catch covid/strep/.... ? I really wish they would divide waiting rooms into people that are sick and people that are injured. I try to avoid the ER but if I really got concerned that something was going wrong, I would give it a shot. Diagnostics in canada suck. A friend went to hospital A with severe pain and was told he was fine, go home. He had someone drive him to hospital B 15 minutes away and had an emergency appendectomy.

I would go to the ER for your appendix. Hopefully they will x-ray/etc do some test at least. I would not take the chance of your symptoms not showing how serious your appendix problem is. Good luck and good health!

You guys are freaking me out. It's just a slight numbness / tenderness (not sure how to describe it) in my lower right ab. Most prominent when I'm sitting in the car.

Slight pain the closer I get to the bellybutton...
I just wanted to see if you would try it.....

Actually if it is bad or worse yet burst it will cause severe pain pushing in from the opposite and letting go fast. Pain comes on the let go not so much the push. Not an end all be all just a tool to check.

Is all your plumbing working okay and do you have an appetite?

How long have you had the numbness/tenderness?

Maybe try a BRAT diet for a couple of days and see if things settle down.

1. All working fine. Appetite is unfortunately going strong and I'm regaining weight.
2. About 2 weeks or so, but getting more pronounced.
3. Never heard of it but will look into it.

Thanks!

Good that your plumbing is working fine.

Any chance maybe you’ve overdone it a bit after the surgery and you’ve given yourself an injury down in that area? Isn’t that the same side as the gall bladder you had taken out?

The BRAT diet is a bland diet when people have a stomach flu or some kind of digestive flareup. It stands for Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast. These are easily digestible foods.

I don't think I've been overly active...but always possible as I lift and play with the kids.

Doctors said no heavy lifting as a hernia is possible...so there's that option also.

Frak it sucks getting older....

Finally able to start lifting again. Since I was off from it for 2+ months I'm resetting with a Starting Strength 5x5 program as it's a nice and easy linear progression.

Lots of walking, started bike riding a few times/week with my neighbour down to Erindale Park. Looking forward to exploring that park as I'm sure there are a few easy / light trails to get the heart moving. But coming up the hill from the valley...FML.

The downside to having my physiotherapist as my wifes running buddy is she crapped all over me on the weekend for carrying a 17 lb baby. I am supposed to be at my body weight only for at least another month.

And she's right to do so! My sis is a personal trainer so maybe she can help me out, but I can't afford her prices to her other clients lol

I'll follow up with my BIL as he has an app that he uses which is useful and mixes and matches exercise to ensure variety.
