Looking for people to do some dual sporting with.

Is there any offroad riding near London? I'm guessing not lol.

Within an hour, maybe?

Koma - You near London? I'm between Stratford and London and looking for some Dual sport action. Unfortunately the others are closer to the GTA, or at least it's what I understand from their posts. I've trailered to the Ganaraska and it's worth it but I'd still like to find some decent off road closer to home.

Hey, yeah I'm in London. Only have a sport bike right now but if I found some trails within riding distance it would be nice.. definitely interested in getting a dual sport sometime. I have a Ninja 250 right now but really eying up a dual sport for my next bike.

BTW, have you checked out Gopher Dunes?

So how was it on Sunday?

I'm a friend of DVS. Hope to be able to join in on some light off pavement rides with you guys. I have a SM with 17's Shinko 705 on the rear and TKC80's up front. I'm fairly new so won't be able to do anything too technical.

We had a blast Steve! Found some crazy single-track trails. Also went down into the forest beside that ski hill we came to last time but didn't dare enter. Long, rocky and slippery downhill with some muddy puddles at the end. I fell/tipped like 5 times haha. Bike's filthy now :)

We gotta come down to your area and see that backyard you were talking about. Perhaps see if we can play around there the times we can't go out for a whole day.

I'm not sure what those tires are but as long as they aren't pure street you'll be fine, DVS was ok with his stock DR650 tires last time. I'm a beginner also and i was keeping up alright with the

no worries, we won't hold that against you......

@lyphe, did you go down the trail we looked at and pussied out of, or did you find another?

fwiw, the farmers just cut down the fields around me, so I may just take the mountain bike into the creek and look for paths this weekend, I will keep you posted....we may need a machete though.....

Yes that exact trail. It looked scary... because it is! I'll be staying out of there for a bit.

lets clear some space in the woods, i have a reciprocating saw and a long extension cable!

Welcome Joe, it's a great group that we have here. Hopefully we can get out one of these days. Guys, I've toured with Joe all over the place, it's good that he's finally getting that bike of his dirty. Joe be warned you WILL drop it and have a blast doing it!

It's great that we're all starting off with this dirt thing, I welcome the company learning this form of motorcycling. Well, with the exception of Liam, he's an old hat at this and has the bike to do it!
(Edit: damn, typing on the phone was difficult.... meant to say that everyone is starting off at about the same level with the exception of Liam who seems to have a head start on us, dirt experience wise. Aaaand has the bike to do it too!)

You wusses, that trail looked ok. I'll tackle it with my Distanzias....you may never see me again though!

Hey Steve were those Dunlop 606 21 fronts and 17 rear? I might buy them off of you if they are.

Man I wished I could have joined you guys. We got to start mapping out these trails. So we don't forget about them.

Ya, I'm gonna bring the gps this weekend.

Yeah, I'm going to start mapping that area. I feel there is much more to find.

Can't make it this week guys but have a blast all the same!

The group is was with found that as well. Going down was no problem, but they didn't want to go back up, lol. I love being on my DRZ. :)

Rob, gotta get the groups together and make this a regular thing. Now having said that, I'm out this Sunday as I'm heading to the GTAM trackday at TMP. Gonna get my fix of speeeeed!!

Depending on what the wife wants me to do, I MIGHT be available Saturday though....

For sure. I'm doing a camping and riding trip this weekend. I'll keep an eye on this thread and next time we're out we'll see if ya'll want to come along. We rode up to Simcoe County, Brentwood tract and had a blast in the single track. On the way back we found a nice little double track on 4th line that we had to ride across a stream, luckily it was only three quarters up our tires.

K, Shinko 244's on order. Will see how they do.

Man I'm loving the dirt bike tire prices, a hell alot more reasonable that street tires!

You can still spend large, but overall they are less costly.....don't forget to factor in the cost of tubes, normal/heavy duty/natural rubber/rim locks, it can add up.
Running kendas these days, pretty good and pretty cheap, got them from glen at fs.

Sunday works for me.

Insert wicked laugh here. Soooo..... who wants to try a MX track?

TMP has a track and on week-ends it's $20 to ride, not bad at all.

I'll be there this evening for a track day tomorrow, I'll check out the MX track and see what it's like.

Hey guys,
Gonna have to miss Sunday....got a few projects that need to be done this weekend and they seem to be taking a little longer than anticipated.

Take some pics of the track as well. I'm still trying to find the one up near Keswick.
