Looking for Boot Covers for Rain

Have jacket and pants rain gear that works well to keep me dry. Boots not waterproof and eventually in a heavy rain boots leak and feet get soaked.

Looking for advice on a boot cover to slip on and tuck under rain pants, same or similar to this this Tourmaster product.

Should be waterproof, non skid sole, easy to slip on over boot, elasticized top, decent price and would last a few seasons.

yep

I tried them
took longer to take them off
from the all the swearing and stuff
than they were on my feet, useless

dry socks then shopping bags inside the wet boots work better

If you sno seal the lower part, and the top has laces or openings, then gaiters might work.

If there are no openings, then the sno seal might make them waterproof.

I did an east-coast trip a number of years ago and the projected temperatures were too high for my nice Goretex boots, so I went with my ventilated boots and rubber overboots - like really heavy dishwashing gloves, but for your feet. 100% waterproof, but very fragile. Tore the toe in one just walking around at a gas station, tore the heel of the other pulling it on.

Replaced those along the way at a local bike shop with something that looked identical to this: Gears Waterproof Overboot
Those worked really well. Sturdy rubber sole, really high gaiter, full length zipper. The only problem is that the sole stunk of rubber. Like, stunk so bad that I sealed them and my riding jeans in plastic bags overnight for fear that the motel would smell them and charge me for smoking in the room. They've been sitting on a shelf in the garage airing out for the past 4 years, and I just checked on them and my hands now stink like rubber after handling them for about 5 seconds. I don't know what brand mine are, but the ones that I linked above from Royal Distributing did not smell like rubber when I was looking for replacements after the trip. So they're still a viable choice, just make sure you check them out in person.
