Looking for a Knapsack

I ride with a backpack almost every time I get on my bike (I use my bike almost exclusively for commuting), but with that said I'm not going to disagree with you because I've never worn a hiking pack while riding

The only thing I can think of is; wouldn't a hiking pack interfere with your helmet when you're leaned over in riding position? Unless your riding position is extremely upright. I would think that you wouldn't want the pack to rise over your shoulders (aerodynamics & potential helmet interference), and you also wouldn't want it too low if you've got a solo seat cowl on ur bike.

My pack is just a regular "swiss army" $40 bag, and I keep a small plastic bag in it which I can fill with anything sensitive to water, should I anticipate a wet ride.

The majority of their packs only go up that high if you strap something in the top of it or get the Long version when you should have something shorter. Most of their packs are designed to stop at your shoulders. Maybe it would interfere on an SS but I doubt it unless you've rolled a sleeping pad and stuffed it into the top or are wearing it way up high with a Long pack. On my 650R with sportbars it's not a problem.

On sale right now http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/Packs/Daypacks/TopLoad/PRD~5027-062/gregory-fury-32-daypack.jsp

Gregory and Osprey make very nice backpacks. MEC is OK, but they aren't amazing design wise. They have no issues with wind and high speed. Check out Sail. They have the lowest prices I found, including US retailers, for high end backpacks. If I'm riding solo and camping I dont even bother with saddle bags. I just load up my big backpack and head out.

Where can I get Kriega backpacks (eg. R25) in GTA?

I think I saw Kriega packs at TownMoto on Ossington, call first in case I'm wrong. Actually its a neat little shop, if your close drive over and have a look around.

A friend and I just bought some waterproof knapsacks for riding from GP.

the GIVI and the A*
both great quality and completely waterproof, designed for riding & have all the usual features.
Durable and cool.

$80 for givi and $130 for A*, i bought the A* cause it looks "cooler" lol
same ***** though

Its basically a normal knapsack that is waterproof...kinda handy, nothing too fancy or wild like those ogio hard packs

once you've tried the OGIO No-drag, you'll never go back.

As to Kriega products, I got mine from Oakville Yamaha. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean shop. They also carry HELD products which is another tough to find brand in Ontario.
