Looking for a baxley-type wheel chock

I am a strong believer in the "you get what you pay for" sentiment, but in this case, it doesn't apply. The Princess Auto chock works just as well as the Baxley and costs 1/5th the price.

Any concerns with the PA pinching the tire? Deformation?
For regular day to day use, I don't think it would be an issue.
The only problem I had is when I put my bike on it in the cold for about a month untouched, the tire got stuck to the upper bracket and needed a little bit of force to pull it out. Just so that everybody is aware, this is the wheel chock I'm referring to:

\'ve used mine on 3 Jennings trips now. And that's going from -18c to plus 20c temps, no problem.

Thanks guys. The other bloody Brit at the track once warned me against them but I was thinking of picking one up for garage.

My bikes in my garage sitting the way it is in that pic I posted but double covered. I didn't think the chock could deform the tire due to the temperature change. I'll check it when I get home later and maybe put it on a front stand instead of the chock now lol.

If the tire is already fvcked then looks like i'll be replacing it in the spring

I wouldn't leave mine in one over winter. Just like I wouldn't leave a bike on a side stand. Get both tires off the ground.

And the other Brit is a scouse supporting soft southern jessie. He knows nowt.

When I'm back from Jennings you can have mine if you still need one (and assuming I don't need it). Call it a long term loan.

Thanks! I will take you up on that and store for you.

I have a lift with a chock. Right now it is still in one big mess but I do have it on stands.

I use a couple of the blue princess auto ones and they do a great job. the black one is better but not enough for me to spend 200+. If you have lots of money to spend go for it as it is sturdier.

ps. my bikes are in the wheel chock or on the side stand all winter every winter and they still turn on and ride every spring.

Wrong Brit, it's the Villa supporter with the broken wing giving her the advice.

Taking advice from a Villa supporter. Like asking Gary Glitter to babysit for you.

I can barely understand you two (three!) at the best of times and I don't follow soccer so this banter is beyond me.

Regardless thanks, I'm still trying for Jennings so hope to see you before you leave

Some right bastards about, saw four Man United fans playing football with a cat. Was about to call the RSPCA...but then the cat went 1-0 up.
